We caught up with the brilliant and insightful DeAsha Redding a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi DeAsha, thanks for joining us today. Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?
When I look at it, yes now I am a happy business owner. Before I was not so happy because I was afraid of the unknown. I do think about getting a job, OFTEN! Sometimes I get on Indeed and apply for jobs when I am upset in my business. However, I know this is where I need to be.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is De’Asha, I’m a boy mom who loves wellness and business. I started my entrepreneurship journey in 2017. My initial area of focus was Credit Restoration, then it expanded to tax services, business credit, and business consulting. I help my clients with structure, systems, and scaling their business using business credit without burning themselves out. I am an advocate of helping CEOs balance life and business. I assist them with helping them take care of themselves so that way they can take care of their companies. What sets me apart from other business consultants is that I make sure their business is streamlined and can handle the business credit they are seeking. I integrate my tax and bookkeeping expertise in with my signature program to ensure they are ready to begin the building process. I guide them through building and teach the importance of financial health in business.
When people talk to me, I want them to know that I base my teachings off real life experiences. When they listen to my Podcast, Femininity and Finances, I am speaking from a place of realness and my heart. Entrepreneurship is not a destination, it is a journey. You will never stop learning or growing.

Have you ever had to pivot?
A few months ago, I made the decision to stop doing credit repair services. I decided upon this because the industry has changed so much and I have no desire to keep up with the trends or what the industry is doing now. I decided to focus more on taxes and business consulting. This was a hard decision because credit repair was how I was able to leave my job and the biggest source of income for me. I did take a hit on income, however I am happier now with my decision.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I built my audience by showcasing my resilience in my health journey. I released over 100 pounds and I correlate my wellness journey with my entrepreneurship journey. To me, they go hand in hand. How you do one thing is how you do everything. I made a vow to treat my body and my business with the same respect and effort. For those just starting out, do not worry about being perfect. Your audience will love you for your authenticity and consistency.
