Cody, appreciate you joining us today. Do you manage your own social media?

I manage my own social media. I chose to manage it my self because I wanted to be in full control of the photos that I post. Also there is not a lot of money in landscape and nature photography, so I could not afford to hire someone else. The results are not that good I’m not getting much interaction on my post. Social media is full of photographers and people involved in the music industry so it is incredibly difficult to get noticed and to get interactions on social media

Cody, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I’m a photographer and a studio engineer. I started working in music when I was in college. I went to school for music business and I interned at a studio. I also got the opportunity to work with several incredible artist in the studio and at live events. Unfortunately after college I had to get a normal full time job, and music has become a side gig because there is not a lot of money to be made in music anymore. Photography is more of a hobby I take nature, nature and wildlife photos and I also take a lot of photos of my City in Nashville

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

As a studio engineer my passion is to help make an artist vision become a reality it is always an incredibly rewarding feeling when I hear a song that I was involved in even if I was only involved is a very small way. In photography it always feel good when people let me know that they enjoy seeing my photos, especially since I spend a good amount of time taking and editing the photos

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

In music it’s all about building connections. It’s about going to events and concerts and meetings others involved in the industry and artist you might be able to work with in the future. In photography it’s almost all on social media someone might see your photos and what to buy one of hire you to take photos for them
