Alright, Billie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Our journey began with a nudge toward entrepreneurship, I had leaders telling me for several years I needed to start my own company and contract out to the government. As I assumed a leadership role within a government contract, the seed of starting our own venture took root. Drawing from my experience in providing non-clinical case management services to the military, a domain I intimately understood and had previously developed programs for, we launched our business with a focus on this niche. However, fate intervened with a sudden shift in government priorities, redirecting our path.
Faced with this curve ball, we spent over a week researching and deciding what our next steps would be and how we could pivot. Upon reflection of our strengths and passions, we acknowledged a common proficiency in process optimization and data management. Drawing on our backgrounds – my proficiency in process optimization through Lean Six Sigma methods and my partner’s expertise in database development for military applications, including the creation of over 20 applications – we redirected our attention to delivering tailored administrative and IT solutions to businesses and government agencies. Recently, we broadened our services to include government contract consulting, enhancing our support for businesses further.
In essence, our evolution stemmed from a combination of necessity and opportunity. We saw a gap in the market where our skills could make a significant difference, particularly in aiding small businesses navigating complex government contracts. This pivot not only aligned with our expertise but also resonated with the evolving needs of our clientele, igniting our excitement for the journey ahead.

My business partner and co-founder and I have shared a bond for over two decades now. He’s not just my business partner; he’s also my best friend and spouse. Our journey together began during his 25-year tenure in the Wyoming Army National Guard, where our family stood by his side through thick and thin. About a decade ago, I embarked on a contracting role with the Wyoming Army National Guard, marking the start of our professional collaboration. During this time, we worked closely on a web application aimed at tracking service members’ cases, records, and more. While I provided direction, needs, and information, he skillfully built the system. Our collaboration made a significant impact on the Wyoming Army National Guard, laying the foundation for our future venture of working together. Today, we’re proud to extend the same level of dedication and service to our clients.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for expanding our clientele involves a multifaceted approach that encompasses networking, social media engagement, and fostering word-of-mouth referrals. In the business realm, establishing trust and rapport is paramount, people work with people they know like and trust. Actively participating in networking events at various levels—local, regional, and national—provides opportunities for potential clients to form personal connections with us. Additionally we leverage social media platforms, which allows us to consistently share valuable content, showcasing our expertise and nurturing relationships with both existing and potential clients. Through social media, we not only offer insights into our company values but also deepen trust and familiarity with our audience.
Additionally, we recognize the significant impact of word-of-mouth referrals. By prioritizing exceptional service and surpassing client expectations, we cultivate strong relationships based on satisfaction and trust.
