Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rebeca Hernandez . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Rebeca , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
First time I knew I wanted to pursue doing makeup is when I got laid from my office job in early 2015 . My mom owns a beauty salon so I said to myself , let me give it a shot and do makeup at the beauty salon.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Well, I began doing makeup professionally if you will in 2015 when I began working at the beauty salon . Loved doing makeup so much that I also wanted to do hair as well, so I perused cosmetology school and obtained my cosmetology license.
For me as a hairstylist and makeup artist, I love the transformation of a before and after . So much!!! It’s a priority that I make my client feel comfortable, confident and even more beautiful than what she already is.
I’m a believer that when a person looks good, they feel good. That’s exactly what I want to deliver to every single client that I get the privilege to work with .
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I always tell everyone that referrals are the best form of tip anyone can give me as an artist.
Referrals . Referrals. Referrals!!
So in my opinion, always referrals and sharing our content and commenting on our post on social media is great , too.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Doing what I love for a living and getting to connect with wonderful people/clients along the way.
