We were lucky to catch up with Christopher Cinquemani recently and have shared our conversation below.
Christopher, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Risk either gives us motivation or arrests us all.
As someone who has battled severe medical afflictions/illness his whole life…there are always risks in what I do.
Fear is a powerful force that can dominate our lives or bring us down a path of uncertainty and greatness.
We weigh this in our hearts and minds. The question is how much fear are you willing to let control you?
Yes, I have missed out on many experiences in life mostly because of fear and the worry of taking a defined risk. If I didn’t close my eyes, listen to my heart and my spirit…I may not be where I am now. Have I failed? Yes, many times. Sometimes this was because my afflictions dominated me. They tore me down and I watched the train of life whisk by me, here and gone almost like a ghost, a fleeting memory. What could have been? Other times, I didn’t take a risk because of all out fear. This is where we can always choose to be different. If I did not decide to funnel all my energy and willpower into acting and bringing the intensity to the table…I would have never achieved what I have at this point in time.
My advice is to stop. Breathe. Think. Get in touch with your inner voice and spirit. Fill yourself with creativity, with positive motivation. Know that our time is limited here. Take the plunge, do it with a full heart. Do it with love and affirmation. The time is now…so shake off the shackles of fear and risk. You are here now.
Please, do not let fear and all risk taking stop you. It’s hard sitting there pondering what could have been.
Do it with love. Do this with passion.
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Trust when I say,
your time is now.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I was born and raised in New York. I have battled extremely life threatening multiple auto immune diseases since I was six years old.
I was always very introverted and never quite felt I belonged anywhere. The struggles and trials are what made me who I am now.
I always loved history, art, the esoteric, film, antiquarian books, lapidary and a intrigue in dark things. I could remember being so passionate about things and knowing I was different at a very early age.
For most of my life I was known for being an unusual art/antique/museum piece/ natural history dealer and collector. My specialty was the stranger and more macabre objects in life. The “spooky” stuff that most don’t quite understand. I used to make appearances on the TV show oddities out of NYC. I had a gallery/curiosity shoppe in Salem MA for quite some time, this was also quite a controversial gallery.
After some more nasty medical diagnosis and nuclear life shake-ups…I was pulled to Las Vegas, called to the desert.
I threw myself back into acting with a fiery passion. I am known for being an intense individual. Highly spiritual, I devoted nearly all my time to the craft. I immersed myself in an acting academy, constantly practiced and developed my technique in private and just kept setting goals and forging ahead.
In time, I was fortunate enough to be signed by a great manager and agent.
I worked where I was needed, auditioned constantly and more importantly…never gave up. You must have passion and intensity to blaze your path forward. Keep setting goals and milestones. If you achieve them set more. If you did not…re center yourself and keep going until you achieve that specific goal.
Manifest, believe, stay focused. Love what you are doing.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I am an extremely spiritual individual. I have always been. I like to say that spirituality and my philosophy is evenly shared with the entirety of acting.
My goal has always been this.
Treat people with kindness and be professional. I want to support and bolster other actors, never bring them down. I want to always do better, be believable and entertaining for the audience. I seek to simply learn each day from as many people as I can, no matter what age or walk of life they come from. I want to love what I am doing and refine it each day, step by step.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Hmm, I will make this easy.
I have multiple painful and de generative illnesses. Life has been very challenging, particularly for a few decades before medical remedies were developed. I have had multiple experiences where I almost passed away, very scary moments. I have severe pain all the time. Sometimes I can barely hold myself up, literally.
Did I let this stop me? Almost…many times.
Yet, here I am. Hear me when I say, I know how hard and hopeless it can often be. Take that pain and take that uncertainty and create an inner fire that burns within you so bright…that it leads you to shine and radiate like no one else around you. Your trials and afflictions give you more power than you will ever realize.
You are profoundly resilient.
