Ashley, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
Embarking on the journey of becoming a teen hairstylist entrepreneur has been a world of excitement, uncertainty, and creativity all at once. As a teenager, I found myself drawn to the artistry of hairstyling, and I knew I wanted to turn my passion into a business venture. However, alongside the thrill of creativity comes the daunting task of building a business from the ground up. I frequently encounter doubt and worry from people who wonder how I will be able to thrive at such a young age in such a competitive field. I figured it was worth a try since hairstyling is generational in my family. However, precisely this fear motivates me to go beyond expectations and prove myself. I promote my dedication to working toward my entrepreneurship goals and gain confidence in my abilities with every happy client and good review. Every challenge or failure I experience forces me to develop, adapt, and improve my business methods. The rewards of becoming an adolescent hair stylist entrepreneur outweigh the risks and difficulties. Witnessing a client’s face light up with happiness as they catch a glimpse of their transformed hair in the mirror is the most delightful thing one can experience. My love for hairstyling is driven by forming deep connections with my clients and seeing the positive impact on their confidence and self-esteem. In the end, the chance to follow my passion, help others, and carve my route in the beauty and business industries outweighs the danger of starting my own business as a teenage hairstylist. Though there have been ups and downs along the way, I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I discovered my love for hairstyling at a young age, experimenting with friends and family members’ hair and immersing myself in tutorials and resources online. As a teen hairstylist, I offer a range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs and preferences of my clients. These services include braids, cornrows, ponytails, sew-ins, and wigs. What sets me apart as a teen hairstylist is my dedication to delivering exceptional service and creating a positive and welcoming experience for every client. Despite my age, I approach my work with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence. I prioritize ongoing education and skill development to stay at the forefront of industry trends and techniques, allowing me to offer high-quality services that exceed my clients’ expectations. Overall, as a teen hairstylist, I’m grateful for the opportunity to pursue my passion and make a positive impact on the lives of my clients through my work. I look forward to continuing to grow and evolve in my craft while providing exceptional service and inspiring others along the way.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building an audience on social media as a teen hairstylist can be an effective way to showcase your skills, attract potential clients, and establish yourself as a credible stylist in the industry. Here are some strategies that I used to build my audience on social media. Consistency is key when it comes to building an audience on social media. I made sure to post regularly, whether it was showcasing my latest hair creations, sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of my work process, or offering tips and tutorials for hairstyling techniques. By maintaining a consistent presence, I was able to keep my audience engaged and interested in my content. Hashtags are a powerful tool for increasing the visibility of your posts and reaching a wider audience on social media. I strategically used hashtags relevant to the hairstyling industry, as well as location-based hashtags to attract local clients. My advice to others is to be patient and follow the trends that are on social media.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Utilizing my existing network of friends, family, and acquaintances to spread the word about my hairstyling services. Encouraging satisfied clients to refer their friends and family members to you. Leverage platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter to showcase my work, connect with potential clients and build a strong online presence. Use hashtags to attract attention and grow your following. Creating professional business cards and flyers to distribute in local beauty supply stores. By utilizing a combination of these sources, I have effectively attracted clients and build a loyal customer base as a teen hairstylist entrepreneur.
