Victorious , appreciate you joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
From a young age, being an artist has been an unwavering part of my identity. Even as a child, I found solace in the act of creating, whether it was drawing in notebooks or experimenting with colors. The prospect of transforming thoughts and emotions into tangible expressions became a source of fascination, and as the years passed, this fascination evolved into a profound passion. Throughout my journey, art has been my refuge, offering a means to navigate the complexities of life and communicate my innermost feelings. The dream of being an artist has been a constant companion, shaping my choices, influencing my perspectives, and instilling a sense of purpose. Now, as I embark on the path to realizing this childhood dream professionally, the journey feels not just like a pursuit of a career but a continuation of a lifelong calling that has been an integral part of who I am.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hello, I am Victorious Faithe. I am a self taught artist from Tennessee. In my artistic practice, I navigate the realm of graphite, charcoal, clay and oil paint. Whether I’m working with pencil or paint, each stroke, mark, or application of these mediums serves as both my muse and my channel for self-expression. Through the exploration of these mediums I strive to carve my artistic identity. My ultimate goal is to contribute something meaningful to the collective human experience, leaving behind a lasting imprint that sparks conversations, inspires, and connect the heart and mind of people who experience it.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
Society can play a crucial role in supporting artists and creatives by recognizing and valuing the intrinsic contribution they make to cultural enrichment. Establishing accessible and inclusive platforms for showcasing artistic endeavors, such as community galleries, public installations, and local events, can amplify visibility for artists at various stages of their careers. Fostering educational initiatives that prioritize arts and creativity in schools ensures the next generation values and understands the importance of artistic expression. Fair compensation for artists’ work, whether through sales, commissions, or collaborations, is essential in acknowledging their professional contributions and sustaining their livelihoods. Ultimately, creating a culture that values and supports artists involves recognizing their vital role in shaping the cultural fabric.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative lies in the connection between the creator and their work. Creating something and bringing it to life instills a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment that is unparalleled. The act of self-expression, becomes a powerful means of communication that resonates with others on an emotional and intellectual level. The impact of one’s creations, whether it be evoking emotions, sparking conversations, or challenging perspectives adds to the artistic journey. The ability to leave a lasting imprint on the world through the unique lens of one’s creativity is a reward that transcends external validation, providing a deep satisfaction that fuels the drive to explore, innovate, and contribute to self expression.
