We were lucky to catch up with Lashes Lane recently and have shared our conversation below.
Lashes , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I knew EARLY on, As a kid I always said I wanted to be a pop star, dancer, singer, and actress…and now as a burlesque performer, I get to make all those dreams come true.

I am Lashes Lane, the founder and producer of Bad Witch Burlesque! Based in Orlando, FL, Bad Witch Burlesque is a dynamic theatrical rock & roll burlesque troupe that hosts quarterly theater shows. Our performances blend the elegance of classic burlesque with the electrifying energy of beloved rock and metal music. We are a collective of strong, empowered women who come together through this art form to weave magic on stage.
Our theater shows radiate a warm and welcoming atmosphere, aiming for the audience to leave feeling enchanted, as if they’ve spent the evening among good friends. My journey in burlesque began in 2017 as a stagehand for Midnight Fables Cabaret. In 2020, I took the leap to launch Bad Witch Burlesque, which led to the creation of digital shows during the pandemic. These virtual performances were enjoyed by audiences worldwide.
As the world reopened, we transitioned into live performances, having successfully hosted 10 sold-out shows at the ME Theatre in Orlando, FL. Additionally, we’ve had the honor of being featured as the Saturday night entertainment for 3 consecutive years at Spooky Empire’s Ultimate Horror Weekend in October.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Focus on what you love and make posts that are true to your brand and story. Don’t be afraid to learn new things and new ways to create content…but most importantly ALWAYS stay true to yourself.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
In 2020, as we were preparing for the debut of our first live show, the pandemic struck, forcing us to halt our live productions. However, through some creative brainstorming, I introduced “The Witching Hour,” the very first Bad Witch Burlesque pay-per-view styled digital show.
