We recently connected with Molly Cody and have shared our conversation below.

Molly, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

My parents always told me to go for it. They still do. Looking back at my childhood, I’m always amazed at the amount of time they spent on evenings and weekends giving my sister and I the opportunities to challenge ourselves through sports. I firmly believe the motivation, discipline, and drive kids learn in sports translates directly into our careers as adults. Sports teaches delayed gratification and that if you work hard for long enough you’ll eventually get close to the desired outcome. It’s where you start to learn what stacking wins feels like, which gives you confidence to do more, try harder, look for another level. My parents also always told us to look at the bigger picture when things go wrong, which really puts things into perspective. What you focus on multiples, so I’m thankful for their small mindset shifts that I still use daily.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I help busy professionals and families nationwide create homes that feel authentic to them and their lifestyle. The focus is on warm modern interiors, lots of neutrals, textures, and bringing in natural elements so clients can feel the cleanliness of modern design but still soft, serene, and most importantly, livable. We like to prioritize function in homes and love a high contrast moment. Most commonly requested by clients is for their homes to feel like a breath of fresh air. Our clients tend to be strapped for time so our process is fluff-free. It’s the ideal solution for decisive individuals who value efficiency and quality. We do everything from new build selections to furnish + style packages, down to the finishing touches. We have provided virtual services in 24 states and counting and am proud of how streamlined our process is so clients know what to expect at all times and can enjoy completing their home, rather than being stressed out by it.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

I am a podcast junkie and soak up as much information possible on branding and business. I highly recommend Ed Mylett, Emily Ford, Chris Harder, and Lori Harder, to name a few.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

Society gives us a script to follow growing up. At this age you do this, at this age, you do this. It’s that script that I’ll be forever unlearning. There is no rulebook or blueprint for the happiest, most aligned life. I think following your God-given calling is the main script that needs to be followed.
