Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kaitlin Nares. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kaitlin, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
When you think of a law firm- you think of men, billboards and courtrooms. Our law firm is not like that, we are a company ran by women who are moms, and we are virtual!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
We are a startup that happens to provide legal services- and those legal services are exceptional. We specialize in truck wreck and brain injury litigation. Our clients are seriously or catastrophically injured. We are paving the way for what the new law firm will be—compassionate, client-centric, virtual, and run by entrepreneurs. Our CEO, Kaitlin Nares, is a natural entrepreneur. She started this law firm with 0 clients, 0 money, and 0 staff and grew it to over 460% in two years. We now have an entire team of compassionate souls who are helping injured families navigate a new world of medical treatment, insurance claims, and financial distress.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Our most effective strategy for building our clientele is referrals and back-end marketing. We focus a lot of time into getting to know others who run their own business and make very strong relationships and connections with them. We also focus on promoting our business in the area we live in; we live next to 2 major highways in Colorado. Thus, if someone is injured, they know about us, we know the area, and they feel more safe and secure.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
The book The Go-Getter by Bob Burg and John David Mann is a very influential book, and a lot of things that they talk about in this book is what we use to manage our law firm. This book is essentially about creating your own fate in your life. It also talks a lot about giving- and that’s what we do. We give referrals, have lunches, host events and give ack to the community in hopes of what goes around comes around. Once people know us and what we do they will remember us for the future.
