We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Deepspawn_Logic. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Deepspawn_Logic below.
Deepspawn_Logic, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?
As an artist, I am very happy! It keeps me centered and I’m always at peace when in the creative process. I’ve never wondered what it is like to have a regular job because I’ve always had one and even to this day as an artist. That’s the life of a lot of independent artists. There are a lot of expenses that come with promoting your brand and your music and what most of us get in return is pennies on the dollar, so I still hold on to a regular job.
I’ve worked and managed medical offices for over 30 years. I enjoy what I do on that side also, so I don’t see me giving that up anytime soon.

Deepspawn_Logic, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started creating music in 2020, which helped with depression after losing my mom in late 2019. Having a few personal losses within a short period of time had me feeling lost and unable to focus.
Noticing how my depression was affecting me, my husband introduced me to a midi keyboard and a DAW. After implementing additional equipment and learning more about my own style of composing and arranging. My first song, called The Other Side, was released in April of 2022. During this time, I was very reluctant and nervous about my music. I was not the norm. Here I was at 47 years old just discovering this newfound gift. Now at the age of 50, I have since released 11 singles and 1 EP. I am most proud that I pushed forward with something that was new to me and shared it with the world without fear. With each release I am humbled, in awe and thankful to God for blessing me with a gift when I need it most.
Also, in January 2023 I created a platform for independent music artists called Artist Spotlight Sunday with Deepspawn_Logic. This is a platform where I shine a light on independent music artists and their music. Spotlight Premiers are video biographies aired on the Artist Spotlight YouTube Channel every other Sunday at 6pm est. This is my contribution to the Independent Artist community. My mission is to make listeners realize there is a lot of music out there that you don’t hear in mainstream. It is very difficult as an independent artist to get your music in the forefront. I introduce these artists so that you as a listener can discover them and hear music that they hadn’t heard before. It’s very important to remember that when you support incredible independent music artists you discover amazing independent music.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is that I get to share a part of my soul with people, and they understand. I’ve chosen to be an artist that creates off of mood and feelings not necessarily a genre or song idea. I am very proud when people tell me they feel my music, or even get lost in it. That means I’ve accomplished what I wanted. My music takes you to a place where time stands still….just for a moment.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I’m still trying to learn this part. They don’t make it easy at all and it is always changing. The only thing I do know is that consistency is key. You have to post your content and engage with your followers. It’s daunting to say the least. I will be the first to say I don’t like this part of the business but it is a necessity.
