Andra , appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?

On my lifelong journey of artistic exploration, I’ve delved into various creative realms- drawing, painting, design, graphic design, editing, and more. Through this path, I’ve understood that perfecting your craft is an ongoing pursuit. I cannot count how many times I’ve poured my heart and hard work into editing a video or putting together a graphic….only to despise the outcome and either throw away the entire concept or start all over. Or working hours upon hours…..upon hours….. editing a video, only to have technical difficulties, in which the entire video gets deleted. that instance happened 4 years ago, and I can say that I am still learning in 2024. the journey of being creative is filled with these challenges.

Perfecting your craft is a PROCESS, and even when you think you’ve reached the pinnacle, there is always room to evolve. It takes the dedication of spending over a hundred hours working on your craft, and then when you’re done, you complete another hundred. it’s a labor of love and the seeds of satisfaction blossom from the hard work sown in the pursuit of one’s passion.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I have many diverse avenues through which I express my creativity. I create engaging content across many platforms; including YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram, and Facebook. This content delves into a spectrum of topics, ranging from anime, sports, gaming content, and overall encompassing prevalent topics in society.

I have also dedicated a lot of time and hard work to my clothing brand, “Jay Nation Creations.” At Jay Nation Creations, we believe in offering more than just garments – we offer a feeling of confidence and positivity. What sets Jay Nation Creations apart is the personal touch infused into every design, each meticulously crafted by me. Prioritizing attention to intricate details, I ensure that each design released on the website reflects my dedication to quality and creativity. Customers can explore a diverse array of designs spanning from music, sports, pop culture, anime, and more, offering a unique and personalized touch to their style.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My creative journey is fueled by a simple dream – to turn what I love into a full-time job. Waking up every day, doing what I’m most passionate about, and living off of my creativity is the ultimate goal. I envision using the profits to catapult me into new avenues of creativity. Another aspect that is important to me is the desire to help others. While I do my best to give to people now, I aspire to reach a point where I can contribute on a larger scale.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

A little over four years back, in high school, I was getting my feet wet in videography and video editing. My mother, brother and I made plans to visit my grandmother in New York for spring break. What was supposed to be a regular trip to Grandma’s house for spring break turned into a chance to get more experience outside of the school setting. My brother, Shaudy Prince, a talented music artist, was kind enough to allow me to work on his music video for a freestyle he planned to release.

the excitement of collaborating with my brother on my first music video quickly turned into a challenging learning experience. After a full day of filming, the real challenge began during the post-production process. My brother and I invested hours, from noon until evening, into putting the music video together. to my dismay, the next day when I opened my laptop, there seemed to have been an issue with my files. whether they were corrupted, or whether they were just lost, to this day I am not quite sure as to what happened. I saved my project as well as saved a backup copy to my desktop. I did everything you could do to prevent a situation like this from happening. The ENTIRE music video was irretrievably lost.

I was frantically seeking solutions. I turned to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and even Apple support, but neither had a solution for me. I remember crying all night, I could not eat or sleep. Not only had I lost hours of hard work, but I also had to grapple with the reality of setting my brother’s release schedule back. Thankfully, I was able to recover the files I lost when I returned home to Georgia. Although, I had to start over from scratch, starting over beats losing the files completely. As tough as it was, this setback became a big part of my story.

Despite starting from scratch, we pulled through and completed the music video. That video now has over 6K views on YouTube. Looking back now, over four years later. the decision to rebuild from the ground up was a pivotal choice. I see that “mess” as a crucial part of my personal growth. Life is crazy, isn’t it?
