We recently connected with Rajee Narinesingh and have shared our conversation below.
Rajee, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
As a multi-racial Transgender woman of color, I had moments where I felt like I did not belong. Moments when I wanted to give up. Some horrible things happened to me. I was brutally beaten up by some guys who targeted me for being Trans. I had a horrible reaction to the Black Market Injections that I received. And many a time I have been ostracized for just being who I am. Thank God I have not allowed those experiences to divine me. Thankfully I had some faith deep inside of me that each person born into life does have a divine purpose. I held on to that and I am so grateful that I did not give up. That I lived long enough for wonderful things to manifest in my life to affirm my belief. Everyone has a reason and a season. There are many Trans women that did not live to see these better days so I do not take my time here for granted. And one of my goals is to leave life better than I found it. That is why I continue to get involved with meaningful projects. Which has resulted in the feeling of a meaningful and fulfilling life..
My story is about one transgendered woman’s incredible journey to truly understanding true beauty, but it has also touched millions, not just through understanding the plight of a transgender woman, but because everyone has experienced, at some point in their lives, the disapproval of their parents, bullying at the hands of ignorance, discrimination, and events that change lives for the good, even though the idea they could, or that a future is even possible, is incredulous.. Inner beauty is a lovely cliche, but after a life of tragedy, through spiritual enlightenment and prayer, I have beaten the odds and reached a point in my life where I know happiness and acceptance are truly beyond face value. I feel blessed that many people have been able to see my light and love and I have gained many loyal fans around the world.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
You can never see yourself as the world does. No matter how many mirrors you look into, you won’t see what everyone else does, going beyond face value is not just a lesson I had to learn, but it is an ethos I now live my life by. Have you ever believed you were destined for a path that was totally different from where you started or felt that life was directing you against the normal, the expected, and the accepted and that every challenge you faced was due to the higher power guiding you to a greater place?
My story is both inspiring and devastating in equal measure. An outcast literally from birth, I have had to fight racism, prejudice, and ignorance my entire life. Through a series of events that would have broken even the strongest man. I’ve emerged as a butterfly does from a cocoon into a beautiful spirit, yet the cruelty of life has deprived me of the traditional facial value.
My story came to the global stage of my horrendous and painful botched black-market injections that came to light in Florida. Quickly, the damage inflicted on me had attracted the media both nationally and internationally, within a matter of weeks. At age 44 I finally had a platform to speak out against injustice and cruelty.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
One of the things that I believe has gotten me through the rough time is my spirituality. My father was Hindu and my mother is Christian. My sister and I were exposed to both religions growing up. As an adult, I evolved away from religion and got more connected spiritually. Reading books and listening to videos of spiritual teachers like Louise Hay, Deepak Chopra, Gary Zukav, Esther Hicks Abraham, etc… etc… I currently attend the Center of Spiritual Living Science of Mind Center (founded by Dr. Ernest Holmes). The teachings of the Universal Laws have been truly empowering
