Alright, Ashley thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
Really good question! I’d say if I could do it all over again i’d start sooner. I have been a photographer for 15+ years and I only pursued it as a career once covid hit. The biggest reason I never pursued it was Honestly I love it so much and it is sacred to me and such personal art that I just didn’t want to be rejected or fail. That being said once the reality hit that I am sitting on a talent instead of using it, I could not let another day go by without pursuing my dreams! I am so proud I took the leap I have zero regrets it’s been so amazing and it’s thriving and I couldn’t be happier!

Hello everyone I am Ashley of Ashley Beckman photography. A Fun loving outgoing mom of 3. I Love Jesus with all that I am! I currently specialize in Wedding photography and corporate events. I also Love family sessions and Live events! I have been photographing for about 2 decades, just taking pictures for family events and friends and when 2020 came and changed so many things and kinda reframed life. I realized it was time to take my passion for photography to the next level and decided to pursue it as a career, so in fall of 2020 I did just that and started Ashley Beckman photography. I have absolutely loved this journey and am so excited for the growth of my photography and privileged to have met and worked with so many incredible people! I have a passion to capture the authentic Joy and Love of whoever is in front of my camera, Every photo captured is intentional and I truly hope that my heart for people and their stories is reflected in the images I take.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Id say that my need to create, my desire to serve others, and to feed my family, have all motivated me to keep pushing keep going and keep doing whatever it takes to be obedient to this calling for it’s is the only way to succeed in this industry. I want to be able to show people how beautiful the world is, how beautiful the most ordinary things are actually some of the most beautiful!. I Love sharing how I see the world around me through photography! I am so Blessed and thankful to be able to do this for a living I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. All Glory to God!
Have you ever had to pivot?
I touched on this a little bit already but 2020 really opened my eyes and lit a fire in me to pursue my dreams. Life is short and so precious and we have no time to waste! It was time to pursue my passion of photography and do something that I loved instead of being afraid of the possibility of rejection. I am so glad I chose faith over fear! Nothings gonna stop me now!
