We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jonathan Rosell Aka. Johnytiger. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jonathan below.
Alright, Jonathan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Embarking on a solo career in the music industry was undoubtedly one of the most exhilarating risks I’ve taken. Back in 2014, when my band disbanded, I found myself at a crossroads. Instead of succumbing to uncertainty, I decided to take the plunge into solo artistry. It was a decision fueled by passion and a relentless drive to pursue my musical aspirations.
Launching into the solo realm, I poured my heart and soul into crafting albums like “1991” and “Delirium Nocturnup.” These projects not only showcased my musical prowess but also served as a testament to my resilience and creative vision. Despite the initial challenges of navigating the industry solo, the freedom to express myself authentically was incredibly liberating.
In 2016, I took yet another daring leap by joining “I Set My Friends on Fire” as their touring guitarist for two years. This experience exposed me to new audiences, refined my stage presence, and reinforced my love for live performance. However, as much as I cherished my time with the band, I knew my true calling lay in music production.
Transitioning from touring to producing was a calculated risk, but one that I wholeheartedly embraced. As a music producer, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse array of artists, including Kindly, Steffy Boom, BabyG, and countless others. Each project presented its own set of challenges and triumphs, ultimately shaping me into a versatile and skilled producer.
Fast forward to 2024, and I find myself thriving in both realms. While continuing to produce for various artists, I’ve also cultivated my own solo career, with standout releases like the short-term viral sensation “Drive” and my latest single, “Dancing With A Ghost.” Blending elements of pop and alternative rock, these tracks represent a convergence of my musical influences and artistic evolution.
Looking back, the journey from band breakup to solo success has been nothing short of transformative. Every risk I’ve taken has propelled me forward, shaping me into the artist and producer I am today. As I continue to chart my path in the ever-evolving landscape of music, I’m fueled by the belief that taking risks is not just about stepping into the unknown, but about embracing the limitless potential of creative expression.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I see NFTs as a groundbreaking technology that’s yet to be fully appreciated by the masses. It’s a game-changer in the realm of digital ownership, allowing individuals to truly own and monetize their digital assets in unprecedented ways. Imagine holding the NFT to your favorite artist’s work; it’s like having a digital masterpiece in your virtual art gallery, with the added bonus of exclusive perks and experiences.
One personal experience that truly highlighted the potential of NFTs for me was when I acquired an NFT representing a digital artwork by a talented emerging artist. Not only did I have the satisfaction of supporting the artist directly, but I also gained access to a vibrant community of fellow collectors and enthusiasts. It was incredible to see how NFTs facilitated a direct connection between creators and fans, transcending geographical boundaries and traditional barriers.
Beyond the art world, NFTs are revolutionizing various industries, from gaming to music and beyond. They offer a new way for creators to monetize their work and engage with their audience on a deeper level. Whether it’s unlocking special content, accessing VIP experiences, or participating in virtual events, the possibilities with NFTs are truly limitless.
As more people become acquainted with NFT technology and its potential applications, I believe we’ll see a seismic shift in how we perceive and interact with digital assets. It’s an exciting time to be part of this burgeoning ecosystem, and I’m eager to see how NFTs continue to reshape the digital landscape in the years to come.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Indeed, the notion of creativity can often seem elusive or even mystical to those who haven’t fully embraced their own creative potential. I recall a poignant moment when someone asked me if being a creative was akin to possessing a superpower. It gave me pause for thought because, in many ways, it truly is.
Creativity isn’t just a skill or talent reserved for a select few; it’s an inherent part of being human, waiting to be unlocked and nurtured. It’s about tapping into a different plane of consciousness, a realm where ideas flow freely and imagination knows no bounds.
For non-creatives, understanding this journey can be challenging because it requires a shift in perspective. It’s about recognizing that creativity isn’t confined to the arts; it permeates every aspect of life, from problem-solving to innovation and beyond.
Unlocking one’s creative potential is a deeply personal journey, one that requires self-discovery and a willingness to embrace vulnerability. It’s about quieting the inner critic, overcoming self-doubt, and allowing oneself to explore uncharted territory.
Ultimately, creativity is a superpower that lies dormant within each of us, waiting to be awakened. It’s about tapping into our innate curiosity, embracing experimentation, and daring to envision a world filled with endless possibilities.
So, to anyone who may be struggling to understand the journey of a creative, I offer this insight: Embrace the unknown, trust in your instincts, and dare to dream. You may just discover that the greatest adventure of all lies within the depths of your own imagination.
