Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jerel Wilson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jerel, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?

Initially growing up in Baltimore we suffer from so many issues gun violence homeless issues, job readiness and trying to prepare our folks to be successful and mentoring for our youth.. I created a platform that could assist individuals with resources @ A one stop shop in our resource center to provided all these outlets for my community.. came up with my vision then started to build my community with meeting and like minded folks who wanted to help some people.. time developed we started to grow to help families with jobs and kids with certification and high school diploma’s.. we created formykidz for the community..

Jerel, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Well going thought the under rate and drop out rate abortion rate and recidivism. Not that hard to want to help and implement because we need it. My lifestyle and friends was moving down the wrong path and I wanted to help I went to school to be a lawyer.. came home from college started to help my folks.. I provide wrap around services for housing jobs and mental health therapy.. just moving forward getting results makes me proud folks getting jobs housing and therapy at my building..what set us apart is the a ability to provide stats and data on our mission

Have you ever had to pivot?

Yes vital time I had to get two jobs to fund my non profit now I worked over night for a decade to fund my company major pivot..
