We recently connected with Niyah Red and have shared our conversation below.
Niyah, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?
I had an idea to become a content creator and a fashion model . The day I realized how beautiful I am and my personality is and realizing how much people see my potential is the day I started . I began to start to build my Tiktok and Instagram by posting reels and lip syncing to different hit songs and started to go viral . I had zero faith in my platform and then suddenly I went from 7 followers to over 7,000 on Tiktok . I had to figure out what I wanted as my social handles and what I really wanted to world to see and learn from me . It all started with a photoshoot and a post and people just began to love me
Niyah, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I got into modeling by putting myself out there and networking . I’m proud of how i’ve managed to continue to build and grow my platforms and my name . Heartbreak is another thing that has motivated me to be successful. I’ve always wanted a business but I’ve never realized I could be the business . I want my followers to know we’re all human were all people were a team . God has a plan for each and everyone of us . Never forget to chase your dreams chasing another person because in some cases they won’t be there BUT YOU WILL . Be there for yourself and forget worrying about others .
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
I was super broke and young trying to build a business. I never spent my money right I was always outside spending money on unnecessary things . I started to search for higher paying jobs and saving up enough money to go to photoshoots . Participate in fun activities that I could show my followers.. Saving was a big part of I set a certain goal for a certain purchase I wouldn’t spend money until that goal was complete
How did you build your audience on social media?
I started posting reels going live and just interacting with my supporters some i’ve met some i’ve never seen a day in my life . I talked about topics people normally are scared to speak about . I also always supported other people with there dreams on social media . I’ve networked with some Tiktok influencers doing collabs to build my name for myself and to possibly help them .
