We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Katie Vinther a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Katie, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?

It is really important to me that people feel seen, met where they are, taken care of, and that their unique journey is honored.

In my Energy Healing sessions I take great care in holding space, without judgement, meeting clients where they are in their personal journey and working from that space to support them to heal and step into the best version of themselves.

In my Crystal and Metaphysical shop it is very similar. I want to help people feel into the properties and benefits that these tools have to offer and help them; to get what they are looking for to support them in their growth and healing.

I hope one day when I have left the Earth, people will remember feeling seen, safe, accepted and supported by me. (And that they remember all the really cool stones that they got from me too!)

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am an Intuitive, Holy Fire™ III Karuna Reiki Master, and a Level III Energy Healing Practitioner and have been practicing Energy Healing work since 2015. In addition to my healing practice, I opened a Crystal/ Metaphysical shop in November of 2023.

What I do in sessions is a combination of intuition and different tools I have learned throughout the years. During a session I intuitively connect with your energy and listen to what your system is asking for at that time.

Once I have connected with you and you have shared what you are wanting from your session, I use a combination of healing modalities including Energy Healing, Reiki, Crystals, Oracle/Tarot Cards, Sound Healing, and Aromatherapy to serve you best. I work to remove energetic blocks, physical discomfort, stress, anxiety, stagnant energy and more. I will work to bring in clarity, peace, grounding, and healing on a physical, mental, and spiritual level

As a child, I was deeply intuitive, but over time, I experienced a suppression of those skills. I began to return to my gifts and my spiritual journey after experiencing a great loss and had deep healing of my own to navigate. After finding how beneficial and rewarding this work can be, I decided to follow the call I felt to help others find the same peace I have found, in their own lives.

I work to help people find healing and balance; to feel peaceful and calm and move into the best version of themselves as they are ready. I deeply value being a guide to help people live their best lives.

I have always felt a deep connection to the Earth and its healing powers! Crystals are a huge part of my work both personal; and professional. In November of 2023 I opened a Crystal/Metaphysical Shop and now get to help others find magical tools to support them in their healing journeys & daily lives. It is something I feel very passionate about! We carry crystals, oracle and tarot decks, sound healing tools, statues and carvings, incense, and more!

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

From a very young age, the story I was told and the messages I received told me that I was silly for wanting and believing the things I wanted and believed. That my worth was not enough and my dreams were too big and unrealistic. To be small.

I started unlearning some of these things through the birth of my child (2005). I started viewing through the lens of what I wanted them to believe about life. what I wanted them to believe about themself and so I started to unpack these ideas handed down to me by family and society, but I was also just 21 years old and a new mom. So the work had begun, but I had a lot of distractions.

Then in 2014, I experienced the loss of my 2 year old niece to a form of childhood cancer. This shook my world and turned everything upside down. I questioned everything, saw the impermanence in all things & I started really doing the work! Unraveling all of the things that I had been handed as truth, and working little by little to establish my truths! The more layers I uncover the more I step into my power and tap into my worth!

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.

I opened my healing practice at a physical location in June of 2021. I started selling small amounts of crystals as a fun side project because I love stones and am passionate about helping others find and connect with tools that can support them in their journey.

I did this for about a year and a half before my partner mentioned in a conversation “why don’t you open a stone shop?”. I had thought about it a little before here or there but never really dreamed it possible. I started looking at spaces, seeing what I would need to do to get this going, and everything just kept falling into place (don’t get me wrong there was work involved!).

I should mention that for years prior to opening my own business, I work as an office manager for a person in energy healing work. Through that position I learned a ton of skills and made so many connections that have helped support me in getting to where I am now! I am eternally grateful to the people that have supported me and continue to support me in my creation of my dreams! Life has a way of guiding you and connecting you, trust the process, you’ll get there!

Now I get to do the things I love and feel so passionate about as my job!
