We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dr. Rita Renee’. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dr. Rita below.
Dr. Rita, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success from a Christian point of view often involves aligning one’s life with the teachings and principles found in the Bible. While success can be subjective and may vary among individuals, some common themes within Christianity include:
Faith: Trusting in God and having faith in His plan is fundamental. This involves relying on God’s guidance and believing that He has a purpose for your life.
Integrity: Christians are often encouraged to live with honesty, humility, and moral uprightness. Success, from this perspective, is not just about achieving personal goals but doing so in a way that aligns with ethical and moral values.
Service to Others: Jesus emphasized the importance of serving others. Success in the Christian context often includes contributing to the well-being of others, practicing love and compassion, and being a positive influence in the community.
Prayer and Seeking God’s Will: Regular communication with God through prayer is seen as a way to seek guidance, wisdom, and understanding. Christians often believe that success comes from aligning one’s plans with God’s will.
Perseverance: The Bible encourages believers to endure challenges and persevere in the face of adversity. Success may involve staying steadfast in one’s faith and goals, even when faced with difficulties.
Generosity and Stewardship: Christians are often called to be good stewards of the resources and talents that God has given them. Success involves using these gifts to benefit others and contribute positively to the world.
Anecdote:
Consider the story of Joseph in the Bible (Genesis 37-50). Joseph faced numerous challenges, including betrayal by his brothers and imprisonment in Egypt. Despite these hardships, Joseph remained faithful to God, maintained his integrity, and eventually rose to a position of significant influence in Egypt. His success was personal and contributed to the well-being of his family and the nation.
In developing my view, I’ve come to appreciate that success, from a Christian perspective, is not solely about personal achievements but also about how those achievements positively impact others and align with God’s principles. It involves a holistic approach that encompasses life’s spiritual, moral, and relational aspects.
Dr. Rita, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hello! I’m delighted to introduce myself to your readers. My name is Dr. Rita Renee’, and I’m a wife, mother, and seasoned nurse with over 32 years of experience. In addition to my nursing background, I hold an MBA and a doctorate in Divinity and Psychocentric Psychology. I currently work in a corporate setting and proudly serve as the Program Chair for WBON (Women Business Owners Network), contributing to the Morrisville Chamber KNOW Committee and serving as a board director for BeSHE, a nonprofit dedicated to addressing domestic violence. Together with my husband, I am the co-owner of Gibson and Gibson Licensed Financial Professionals, LLC. Our company specializes in providing comprehensive financial services, including life insurance coverage and tax services, through our partnership with THL Ultimate Solutions.
My finance journey was inspired by my experiences as a nurse, where I witnessed the profound impact of financial well-being on physical and mental health and relationships. This realization led me to explore the intersection of health and finance.
In addition to my corporate and financial endeavors, I am an accomplished author with seven published books. One achieved personal bestseller status; another was part of a successful collaborative bestseller project. I’ve also contributed to three book collaborations. Writing has been a powerful outlet, allowing me to share my experiences and connect with others facing similar challenges.

How did you build your audience on social media?
n the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, as the world gradually opened up, I was eager to reconnect with professionals and expand my network. During this time, I stumbled upon a LinkedIn Local event in my area, promising an opportunity to meet like-minded individuals. Excited by the prospect of re-engaging with the professional community, I promptly signed up for the event.
Upon arrival, I was introduced to a remarkable woman named Debra Mathias, the local LinkedIn expert. Debra exuded an infectious passion for networking and had an uncanny ability to demystify the intricacies of LinkedIn. As we conversed, she generously shared insights on optimizing profiles, connecting strategically, and navigating the platform effectively.
Debra’s guidance extended beyond the technicalities of LinkedIn; she emphasized the importance of building genuine connections and fostering authentic relationships. Her approach resonated with me, inspiring a shift in my perspective from mere networking to cultivating meaningful professional bonds.
With newfound knowledge and enthusiasm, I built my audience on social media, particularly LinkedIn. I implemented Debra’s advice diligently, ensuring my profile reflected my professional journey accurately. I began engaging with content, participating in relevant discussions, and connecting with individuals whose experiences aligned with my aspirations.
Consistency became my ally as I posted regularly, sharing insights, experiences, and industry updates. I focused on showcasing my professional expertise and fostering a community where thoughtful discussions and collaborations were encouraged.
Over time, my efforts bore fruit as my social media presence grew steadily. I witnessed an influx of connection requests, messages, and engagement on my posts. The relationships formed on social media transcended the virtual realm, leading to meaningful collaborations and opportunities in the real world.
For those embarking on the journey of building a social media presence, my advice is simple yet crucial:
Authenticity Matters:
Be genuine in your interactions.
Share your journey.
Let your personality shine through.
People resonate with authenticity.
Engage Thoughtfully: It’s not just about posting content; actively engage with others. Comment on posts, join discussions, and provide value to your network.
Optimize Your Profile: Ensure your profile accurately represents your professional identity. A well-crafted profile is your digital business card.
Build Relationships, Not Just Connections: Focus on quality over quantity. Cultivate relationships with individuals who align with your goals and values.
Consistency is Key: Regularly share content, stay active, and be consistent. Building a social media presence is a marathon, not a sprint.
In the ever-evolving social media landscape, the journey may vary for each individual. However, authenticity, engagement, and consistency remain constant pillars for success.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
In navigating this path, I’ve come to understand that relying solely on the promises of others can be a precarious endeavor. Despite the letdowns, I’ve chosen not to let skepticism cloud my spirit. Instead, I channel my energy into self-reliance and a steadfast commitment to my vision. The workshop’s encouragement to seek support was worthwhile, for it instilled in me the importance of reaching out, even if the responses are not always as expected. Each unfulfilled promise becomes a lesson in resilience, a reminder that my journey is ultimately solitary, guided by my determination and the unwavering support of a higher power.
It’s disheartening when those you thought would stand beside you falter, but I’ve learned to appreciate the few who follow their promises. These individuals, though scarce, become beacons of encouragement, reinforcing my belief in the power of genuine connections.
I refuse to let the disappointments of others dim the light of my aspirations. My perseverance is not contingent on external validations but is fueled by an internal flame that refuses to be extinguished. Every setback becomes a stepping stone, and every unmet promise serves as a reminder of my strength to forge ahead.
In the grand tapestry of life, I find solace in the threads of faith and self-belief. My journey is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and an unwavering determination to press on despite the unfulfilled assurances of others. As I navigate the winding road ahead, I am fortified by the knowledge that, ultimately, my success reflects the faith I place in myself and the divine guidance that has brought me this far.
