This heart passion (obsession) lead me finding my voice in my writing, publishing my first children’s book, Shoham’s Bangle, which came out in 2022, and won various awards, compiling my micro-chapbook of poems based around my Iraqi Jewish grandmother, her Iraqi Jewish food, and the history of the Jews from Baghdad, which was awarded first place in the Harbor Review Jewish Women’s Poetry Prize.
