We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jason Little a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jason, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My mission as a photographer is to capture the beauty of our surroundings and the stories, emotions, and expressions of the people that I encounter. I believe that photography has the power to preserve memories and document life as it is now so that future generations can experience the world as we see it today. I am passionate about my work because it allows me to open up and see new things every day and gives me a sense of purpose that is both fulfilling and inspiring. My goal is to create images that are both creative and authentic.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Coming from the music industry, I was inspired to create a music video and realized that I needed a camera to do so. After getting my first camera, I shot the music video, but I fell in love with photography. I began to explore the art of photography and found that it allowed me to express my creativity in new ways. I started taking pictures of everything around me, from landscapes to people and found that I could capture the beauty of the world in a way that I never thought possible. Photography has become a way for me to tell stories and share my perspective with others. It has allowed me to connect with people and has opened up new opportunities for me in the creative industry.
In my fine art and portrait sessions I provide my collectors with authentic and meaningful stories that evoke emotions and inspire imagination. while also producing high-quality photographs. For my clients, I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment to express themselves creatively. I work closely with clients to ensure I understand their vision and bring it to life, and that it is an enjoyable experience for everyone.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
“The most rewarding part of my profession is how my clients tell me that my sessions made them feel beautiful. The smiles on their faces once they see the images are priceless.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I take pride in being a down-to-earth person who cares about people and gets enjoyment from bringing a source of happiness to their lives.
