Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christina Landini. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Christina, thanks for joining us today. Do you take vacations? How do you keep things going – any advice for entrepreneurs who feel like they can’t step away from their business for a short vacation?
Minus my family, traveling is my second love! I absolutely love traveling and exploring the world. It’s very rare that I don’t have a vacation on my calendar- even if it’s a simple road trip. I think it’s important for my kids to experience the world while they are young, and I hope one day they have the same passion. When we travel, I also always take our own family photos or I hire another photographer. :)
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a lifestyle family, maternity, and newborn photographer located in the charming town of Truckee, California. I’m a dedicated mama to three beautiful babes, a devoted wife to an amazing man, and a loving friend to many. I am a bold mountain mama who adores life’s simple treasures. I’m an Old Fashioned drinker with a dash of an old soul, wanderlust enthusiast, husky and Vizsla owner, and lover of coffee with too much cream.
My passion for photography developed at a young age. Truthfully, I believe it runs in my veins. My mother, grandfather, and great-grandfather were driven by all forms of art. My mom is a wonderful artist and crafts her own jewelry. My maternal grandfather was a brilliant painter, and my maternal great-grandfather was a passionate glass blower and cherished his camera dearly. Capturing beautiful memories runs deep in my family and soul.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
when I first started my business 3.5 years ago, I was super active on social media. I honestly think I gained the small audience that I have from being active. Now, I am not on social media as much because I am at home with my son most of the days. I believe if you are active on social media it pays off, but it’s not always possible to be on IG 24/7. Social media is the first thing I cut back on when I am really busy with life.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I am very active and engaging with my clients! I always respond quickly, and I try to get on a call with every client before their session. I know every business owner is different, but I like to take the extra time to connect with my clients before their photoshoot. Not only do we email back and forth and speak on the phone, but I also send out a questionnaire to get to know them even better! Customer service is the key to running a good business.
