We recently connected with Vanessa Gonzales and have shared our conversation below.
Vanessa, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you share a customer success story with us?
I’ve had the honor of being apart of all my clients’ journeys and I truly cherish their willingness to improve & prioritize their healths with me alongside them.
Let me highlight Angie and all that she’s accomplished! Transformations are not linear. There’s ups & downs, just like graphs. What sets her apart is her tenacity to continue during the downs.
She’s driven by her late sister, Sylvia, (All4syl) When she was diagnosed with cancer, Angie said “I need to make changes with my life.”
Her biggest struggle is managing stress levels and getting enough sleep. There will always be something we work on as humans. That’s what we’re here for: to progress. I’m thankful she chose me to work with & I’ll always be here for her!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Most people know me as Fit Nesa! I began Muscles & Mules (an at-home program) when I was recovering from my bilateral mastectomy surgery. I started my business just like any other, one client at a time. Transformations equated to referrals; Referrals equated to clients and so on and so on. We’re fully virtual & remote so I can reach as many lives as possible! Their goals are my goals.
Everyone has a different story. They come from many backgrounds, cultures, struggles, & strengths. They’re more than just clients to me; they’ve become my daily companions. I’m at the tip of their fingertips, literally.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I, like Angie, came to a crossroads when I was told in order to save my life, I needed to have this surgery (my bilateral mastectomy) and so we did. I wanted my in-person clients to continue with their goals as I was recovering from not one but four surgeries. And that’s when Muscles & Mules was born. Although I was in bed in pain, I had access to them every day – cheering them on & creating an atmosphere of love for life and continuous support. My resilience resonating with their struggles brought many more transformations!
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I’ve always thought I had to be physically there in person to change a person’s life and I was so wrong. I’ve realized we live in a world of technology and as long as you’re genuine, your light shines anywhere.
