Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Efrain Collazo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Efrain, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Back in 2018 I was filming a documentary for the recording of my EP with late rapper and fellow collaborator GUAP. During that time I decided to take matters into my own hands and start my own filming and photography company, which then became PC2DC PICTURES. I officially started it the following year in 2019. Ever since then I been doing photography and videography for 3 years now.
Efrain, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I got into photography because I am a recording artist out of Fort Worth with that being said I’m in need of a camera operator. I noticed that many of the people that I worked with before PC2DC Pictures didn’t have the same vision and mindset that I had. I began to start learning from other folks and watching YouTube videos on photography to better my self and sharpen my photography skills.
How did you build your audience on social media?
The way I built my audience was not over night. It took about 2 and a half years to build my fan base. I would have to credit networking and going to local shows in town to see local artists perform. The more you go out, the more known you are.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
It mainly has to be networking and pulling up to local shows. There are many artists and musicians that need camera operators.
