Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Hollie Grimshaw-Williams. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hollie , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
I always had this idea to someday have my own Bridal Shop, for many reasons. However life happened and between marriage and kids, that dream was put on hold although I still was working for others in the Industry. Then Covid hit and it gave me a lot of time to reflect. And I said “I want more and I want to offer an experience more intimate and personalized”. So my husband and I were brainstorming and he came up with the idea of being mobile. I really wasn’t sure what the demand would be, but after we spoke with our family it felt like the best move. I heard about this free program SBDC- with the state of New Jersey that assist in business plans, marketing etc. So I immediately contacted them and received their assistance in creating a business/ action plan and things started to come into play. I had my father-who is a contractor convert part of our home into a studio space to hold the gowns. Then we started scouting vendors, buying products and just like that everything came together. We had a soft launch on social for a week and then fully opened mid October 2021.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I have a Bachelors in Fashion Marketing. Upon graduation I worked in retail wholesale, sales and marketing. My true passion, however was always Bridal. I wasn’t sure what I would do within that field but I knew I loved the creativity, the details, fabrics and styles. I got my first job in Bridal back in 2011 as a Bridal Stylist in Atlanta. From that moment I knew that’s what I loved. So I spent the last 13 years styling brides in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. What has always set me apart from most is my work ethic and passion. I give 100% from the start to middle to end. It’s not just a job it’s truly what I love to do- make people feel happy, special and beautiful. That stands the test through our reviews. Our brand is all about having a personal, fun and unique experience. We are here for our brides and we want them to feel like a celebrity when Bridal Shopping with us. Enjoying every moment of our experience with the people they hold dear in finding the perfect dress!
