We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dr. Brittany Soul. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dr. Brittany below.
Dr. Brittany, appreciate you joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I’m stoked to further lay out my Small Business, Soul Stone Group. Which houses publishing for my Creative musical and literary works, but as of 2024, we will offer a myriad of workshops, retreats, and facilitate conversations that inspire and evoke positive change.
I’ve known that I am meant to be impactful somehow in the areas of life that plague so many, confidence, identity, purpose, and self-worth. I enjoy bringing value to others, because I know what it’s like to feel worthless.
Life can be a challenge sometimes.
I use my creative gifts and crafts to build up, encourage, bring light or a new perspective in as many creative ways as I can.
That’s why I am so excited about some upcoming books, music & work. I dive into and create dialogues ranging from feeling insecure, overcoming thoughts of suicide, surviving homelessness to falling in love again, forgiving, being brave, so much more.
I use innovative and creative ways to connect the community with leaders, resources and inspiration that can help them endure such uncertain times.
Dr. Brittany, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Hands down, the absolute best and most rewarding aspect of what I do is knowing that using words, thoughts, and creative arts can bring healing, inspiration and encouragement to impact so many. Anything and everything can be an inspiration of some sort, and what makes it unique is your own interpretation or way of conveying your perspective on things around you. I was just invited to attend this year’s Grammy Dress Rehearsal, where I got to see the behind the scenes of such a huge experience for writers and performing artists. This was especially interesting, because in 2023 two of my songs made it past the first round of the Grammy consideration process. Further, I was just selected and offered an opportunity to experience a Creative Residency in France, later this year. I don’t know all the places I will go doing what I love, but I know that loving, living and sharing along the way is the best part.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I have to unlearn, periodically, are the limitations, unnecessary rules, and opinions that keep me feeling inadequate. I have a tussle with the Fear of Success a few times per year. I reach new ground in my goals, mindset and progress and then suddenly I look up and I’ve shrunk back into the old stinking thinking. Unlearn it as soon as you can! Your future self will thank you for it.
