We were lucky to catch up with Jessica Sinski recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jessica, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
It’s wonderful to reflect on the positive influences our parents have had on our lives. In my case, my parents instilled valuable lessons that have shaped both my personal and professional journey. One impactful aspect was the way they empowered me to make choices and provided essential tools for success.
Even though I didn’t necessarily follow in my mom’s footsteps, she played a pivotal role in influencing my career path. One significant memory was attending a Rich Dad, Poor Dad seminar together when I was in 5th grade. The concepts presented during the seminar sparked my interest in financial literacy and the importance of making informed decisions about money. This early exposure planted the seeds for a future focused on financial education.
Another impactful experience occurred when I was 16, as my mom encouraged me to cold call people for her broker. This hands-on experience in the world of finance not only taught me valuable communication and networking skills but also provided a practical understanding of the industry. It was through these experiences that I began to carve my own unique career path, leveraging the tools and insights my mom had given me.
The combination of early exposure to financial concepts and practical work experience laid a foundation for my career choices. My parents’ emphasis on education, decision-making, and hands-on experience has greatly influenced the way I approach challenges in both my personal and professional life. Their guidance has been instrumental in shaping my mindset and skills, allowing me to navigate the complexities of my career with confidence and resilience.
Jessica, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hello readers! I’m Jessica Sinski, and I’ve been deeply immersed in the real estate industry for nearly a decade. My journey into this dynamic field started during my teenage years when I would do administrative tasks and cold call for my mom’s broker. These early experiences laid the groundwork for my future career, providing me with essential insights into the industry. My official foray into real estate began in 2013 when I joined a real estate team. Since then, I’ve become a licensed Realtor in North & South Carolina, serving under various large teams in the Charlotte area. My expertise spans diverse areas within real estate, including foreclosures, short sales, property management, and more.
Currently, I am proud to lead the sales department at Carolina Residential Group, where I continue to leverage my extensive experience. Over the years, I’ve worked in the Fannie Mae/REO/Foreclosure departments, handled various aspects of property management, and even served as the Director of Sales, running an office. My commitment lies in assisting clients in finding their ideal homes or lucrative investments, ensuring they get top dollar when selling their properties.
To date, I’ve been directly involved in over 750+ transactions, showcasing a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the intricacies of the real estate market. Whether it’s navigating foreclosures, managing properties, or leading sales teams, I bring a comprehensive skill set to the table. I am also a property owner myself with a portfolio consisting of Long Term, Short Term and Room Rentals. I have also flipped a few properties and provide a creative approach to purchasing and selling Real Estate often (including Wholesale, Whole-tail, Subject-To, and Owner Financing Deals).
I initially relocated to Charlotte with my family in 2008 from Queens, NY, and after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Women & Gender Studies, I decided to make Charlotte my permanent home. This city holds a special place in my heart, and I’m passionate about contributing to its vibrant real estate landscape. Beyond my professional endeavors, I find joy in traveling, dancing, and engaging in crafty projects. Having explored multiple continents and various places across the U.S., I can confidently say that Charlotte remains my favorite place to reside. I approach my work with dedication, integrity, and a genuine desire to make every real estate journey a success for my clients.
I invite potential clients and followers to connect with me, knowing that my commitment to excellence, extensive industry knowledge, and personal approach set me apart in the world of real estate. Whether you’re buying, selling, or investing, I look forward to being a trusted partner on your real estate journey.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Networking has proven to be the most effective strategy for growing my clientele in the real estate industry. Building and nurturing relationships within the community and industry have been instrumental in expanding my client base. I host an investor friendly Real Estate Meet up and also attend about 1 network meeting per week.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Investor clients are my bread and butter. Since I invest myself, I know what to look for and if I wouldn’t buy it myself, I advise my clients of that. The money is made when you purchase.
