We were lucky to catch up with Tiana Jovana recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Tiana thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
Growing up under the care of a single mother who battled drug addiction for the majority of my childhood was a journey marked by frequent upheavals and uncertainties. My father’s absence was a void, but it was in the midst of this tumultuous environment that my mother’s enduring strengths shone through, profoundly shaping the person I am today.
From an early age, I was enveloped in my mother’s unwavering love. Despite our hardships, including evictions and periods of homelessness, she never let me doubt her love for me. This constant in a sea of instabilities taught me the power of unconditional love – a lesson that has been a guiding force in both my personal life and my career.
My mother was fiercely protective, always doing her best to ensure my safety amidst our challenges. She cultivated an environment where I felt secure, even when the world outside was anything but. This sense of safety allowed me to dream and aspire without fear. It’s a trait I’ve carried into my business, creating a space where women, especially women of color, can feel secure and empowered to manifest for themselves a life they truly deserve and desire.
Perhaps the most significant lesson I learned from her was the belief in my limitless potential. Despite the turmoil, she instilled in me a sense of fearlessness and a belief that I was capable of achieving anything I set my mind to. Her support was unwavering, regardless of the endeavor. This imparted a resilience and a mindset of possibilities in me, which is at the core of my work today. I strive to empower women to realize their potential and embrace their power, just as my mother did for me.
Our bond only deepened after she was arrested and subsequently became sober. Her journey to recovery brought us even closer, transforming our relationship into one of mutual respect and deep friendship. Her resilience in overcoming addiction and becoming my staunchest ally and friend has remained an incredible source of inspiration in spite of her no longer being with me today.
In essence, my mother’s greatest gifts were her unconditional love, her protection, and her unwavering belief in my potential. These qualities have not only shaped my character but also deeply influenced my approach to business. As I support and empower women through my work, I carry forward her legacy of strength, resilience, and boundless love.

Tiana, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
At the heart of my journey lies a deep-rooted love for language and communication, alongside a passion for empowering women to realize and embrace their full potential. My path into this industry was carved by my personal experiences with manifestation and the transformative power it holds. It’s this blend of personal growth, communication, and empowerment that fuels my work today.
I am the author of “Dating Advice From a Manwhore, A Guide to Overcoming Self-Doubt, Relationship Struggles, and Finding Your Authentic Self.” This book, along with a series of workbooks, ebooks, and a specially designed manifestation planner, form the cornerstone of my offerings. Each of these products is crafted with the intent to guide women through a journey of self-discovery, enabling them to confront and overcome personal obstacles, and to ultimately find their authentic selves.
My work revolves around helping women harness the power of manifestation and positive self-dialogue. I believe that language, both internal and external, shapes our reality. By altering this narrative, we can manifest the life we aspire to lead. This belief is not just theoretical for me; it’s a lived experience. I manifested the life I dreamed of as a child and now aim to share these insights and tools with others.
What sets my work apart is its foundation in real-life experiences and practical application. The strategies and insights I share are not only research-backed but also tested through my own journey and the journeys of numerous women who have found transformation through them.
I am most proud of the feedback I’ve received from women who have applied the principles and strategies from my books and planners. Hearing stories of personal growth, newfound confidence, and life-changing realizations is the greatest testament to the impact of my work.
For anyone new to my brand, I want them to know that my work is a blend of personal empowerment, practical manifestation techniques, and a deep commitment to helping women find their voice and power. My approach is rooted in authenticity, compassion, and a relentless belief in the potential of every individual.
In essence, my brand is more than just books and planners; it’s a movement toward empowering women to take charge of their narratives and create the life they’ve always envisioned.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One significant lesson I’ve been working to unlearn is the perception that responsibility is inherently a burden. This mindset stems from my childhood experiences. Growing up with a mother battling drug addiction, the mantle of responsibility fell upon my shoulders early in life. I found myself playing the role of a caregiver and a decision-maker long before most children are asked to consider such roles.
For years, I viewed responsibility through a lens tinted with hardship and sacrifice. It was a necessity, not a choice – a heavy weight rather than an empowering force. This perspective often led me to the brink of burnout. I grappled with the idea that to gain more – whether in wealth, success, or personal growth – meant shouldering an even greater load.
However, I am now on a journey of reframing my understanding of responsibility. Instead of seeing it as a burden, I am learning to view it as a blessing and an opportunity. Responsibility, I’ve realized, is not just about bearing loads; it’s about having the power to make decisions, to influence outcomes, and to shape the course of our lives and the lives of those around us.
As I navigate through my own journey of redefining responsibility, I am inspired to guide others in recognizing it as a gateway to empowerment and self-actualization. The phrase, “with great wealth comes great responsibility,” traditionally serves as a cautionary reminder, and was a personal manifestation block for me. However, it’s now being reshaped into a declaration of empowerment. I’ve come to the understanding that responsibility, when embraced, can be a powerful tool for personal growth and societal impact, and I encourage others to actively work to reframe how they feel about the challenges they face as well.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
At the heart of my creative journey is a deeply rooted mission: to empower women, particularly women of color, to realize and embrace their full potential. This mission is driven by both my personal experiences and my passion for harnessing the power of language and manifestation to create positive change.
From a young age, I was forced to embrace a maturity beyond my years. This early induction into responsibility has profoundly shaped my understanding of the world and my place within it. It has instilled in me a commitment to aiding women in their journey of self-realization and empowerment.
My goal is to continue to create resources – encompassing books, journals, planners, and workbooks – that serve not only as sources of inspiration but as practical guides to manifesting a life of fulfillment and purpose. These tools are meticulously designed to empower women to transcend personal and societal barriers, fostering a journey towards self-discovery and authenticity.
A pivotal aspect of my vision is the organization of women’s self-empowerment and manifestation retreats. These retreats are envisioned as sanctuaries for growth, healing, and transformation. They are spaces where women can connect deeply with their inner selves, with nature, and with a community of like-minded individuals on similar paths. These retreats are intended to be catalysts for change, offering immersive experiences that combine the teachings of my work with practical, experiential learning. Moreover, my hope is to be able to sponsor women to attend but don’t yet have the means to do so on their own.
In essence, my mission is a harmonious blend of the esoteric and the practical. It is about harnessing the power of manifestation and aligning it with actionable strategies to create a movement of empowered, self-assured women, poised to craft their own narratives and shape their destinies.
