Darian, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?

My parents, both incredibly dedicated, have played a pivotal role in shaping my life and career. My dad, a lifelong entrepreneur, inspired me to pursue my passion, leading to the creation of Carol & Kay Boutique. His support and belief in my abilities have been invaluable.

What my dad did right was fostering a supportive environment, allowing me the freedom to explore my interests. During challenging times in my business, he shared wisdom from his experiences, teaching me resilience and problem-solving.

My mom, equally dedicated, supported my journey, including my time as a Broncos cheerleader. Their unwavering commitment to our passions and the lessons on resilience and meaningful connections have profoundly influenced my entrepreneurial journey with Carol & Kay Boutique

Now, let’s get a little sentimental. The name Carol & Kay holds a special place in my heart. My middle name is Carol, and it’s a tribute to my grandmother whose middle name was Kay. She, unfortunately, lost her battle with cancer during my Junior year of college. A true ‘fashionista’ at heart, C&K is a homage to her style and spirit.
