Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Frank Vic. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Frank, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
Many people can agree with me when I say it’s not easy figuring out what you want to do for the rest of your life. As any other 18 year old high school graduate with no plan would do, I settled on a last minute major and quickly realized I wasn’t doing what I truly wanted to do.
A few months after dropping out and moving back home, the world shut down. This is when I made the decision to brand myself and just let everything else fall into place.
A quote from Alan Watts mentions a theory called the backwards law, and this solely inspired me to sketch the Quasar Park logo (quarantine 2020). After a bit of research and staring at the star-like logo, I came across the word “Quasar”.
A quasar is a bright galaxy located so far away from our milky way, we see them as they were billions of years ago. These galaxies could be long past our evolution, and yet we would have to wait another 13 billion years to even see it happen for ourselves.
Despite not knowing my exact purpose and in life, I’ve always felt like I had potential in the music/media business. The brand name’s meaning and concept perfectly describes how Quasar Park operates today.

Frank, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hip-hop music has been a pillar of my life and the community my friends and family share. Having friends that are involved in the industries you love the most can create some great opportunities.
Ca$h Cam is a Kansas City rapper and old high-school classmate. We’ve been good friends for well over 7 years, and I’ve always known him as the comedian and cool kid that just so happens to rap. In May 2023, I was invited to record VHS footage at a show he hosted and performed at, and that day changed it all for me.
Although it was a completely different environment than I was used to, I found myself showing up to the next few shows he had lined up, where I ended up meeting Ronnie Ze’bo (QP Member). He noticed I was using a vintage style camera, which are commonly used in the skate community. Along the way, I met Garrett (Spence), one of the most talented photographers in the KC metro.
By this time, I knew I finally had something going for myself and my brand. It didn’t take long for Nate, Sam and Kellen to fall into place, and by the end of 2023, Quasar Park became a 6 man army.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The opinions of other people and their view/expectation of you can heavily influence the outcome of your finished product. Sometimes, it can assist you in adding that missing piece, and other times it can hinder your success.
Being an artist and creative is rewarding because you have every right to block out critics that are uninvolved in the process. You have control over what influences you, giving you more control of the output.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
As a creative team still in the early stages of building chemistry, our main goal for 2024 is to build as many connections as possible and save funds over the next year. We are all creatives with separate goals and aspirations outside of Quasar, and we are in the perfect place to shape ourselves as the artists we want to be.
