We were lucky to catch up with Lina Anderberg recently and have shared our conversation below.
Lina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
I’m very Happy. Best job ever. I never wished that I had a “regular job” This is what I’m meant to do. Playing drums. Grateful daily. I just have to add, that there is so much hard work involved, I just want people to know that. Nothing comes for free!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Lina Anderberg, I’m 29 years old, and I work as a drummer. I’ve also done some acting jobs for the past two years, which has been very fun. I started working as a Drummer in 2016. Since early 2022, I’ve been fortunate to have it as my full-time job. I work as a freelance Drummer for live & TV. I’ve been working with over 50 artists and a lot of TV performances. I love to play different genres. My thing is to say yes and then panic in silence, practice like crazy, and then get the job done. I take every job seriously, and always give 110%, no matter the size of the artist. I would say a great feature with me is that I’ve been in many new environments with new people, new locations new everything, short turnarounds, no rehearsals, etc. Regarding my new love for acting, I’ve done 120 shows at Stockholm City Theater, and I just had my first part in a movie that will air in late 2024.
