We recently connected with Kris Rhymes and have shared our conversation below.
Kris, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
As of now, I’m finishing out an Art Series called “Whatcanyacallit” which is part of my ChocKolate-Man Collection where I use chocolate syrup as my medium.

Kris, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
“BE Creative, Be Free, Be You,” living to your highest potential, and create to no limits with your imagination.
Be Free is having the freedom to be the Artist that I am; not worrying about traditional norms and societies take on what you should be;
more on what you want for yourself.
Be You, is the individual and making your mark in this world by remaining true and authentic to you and your craft. I live by these models as a person and creative, expressing my talents a lot more, not just from detail but providing a story to where I am in life as an Artist.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
Also know what you’re creating and where you’re placing it. That will show the base of people coming to you, you’ll then get a sense of identity to your Artwork; your fanbase grows to where you now have clientele based on your style and authenticity.
It’s been effective for me as well, to market yourself and know the lane you want to be in. Be Authentic to what you do and be mindful when somebody buys something from you, it’s not just a product.. You are the product.
Its you that makes your Art one of a kind and that’s what makes it stand out, its special which is why people invest in you.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
10 years in the making and I’m still continuing to strive and pursue my Artistic goals. Many things came my way that was not in my favor but with some rewiring and experience, I took the knowledge to move forward because there all just lessons and learning curves to my next step. It’s a push but my vision and belief are what’s getting it there and that’s why my resilience has continued this long.
10 years before, there wasn’t as much as I knew now that’s allowing me to be a lot wiser & knowledgeable so for that I’m grateful for those lessons and how its gotten me here.
