Martina, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Movies are fascinating, but many are very predictable or have little or no real content. I want to make Movies With Meaning, positive messages, or hitting on that sore subject in an entertaining way. Like we did in Hashtag Blessed The Movie – Mental health And our future projects – like Coop – about a disabled person and disabled Dog. And do many more
Martina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Seeing the completed project, and seeing how it affects those who come to watch it. Hearing afterwards on how it impacted them. I know that after showing Hashtag Blessed a few times in theaters, that people walked up to us and thanked us to point out that the holidays can affect mental health with many folks. On the crew there were many that had been affected by suicide within their own family and they loved how we approached this within a Christmas Movie.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Many people think that being a producer is a fabulous job, you sit on the set and drink coffee lol. Even so I love coffee and on the set once it starts filming, a producer can relax just a bit. But all the pre work, scheduling, housing, fund raising, food arrangements, auditioning etc . And then there is the after- keeping finances in order, media and advertising, booking venues, distribution deals. It is a never ending story of work, once you commit to a film. Like having a child – it is yours forever. Basically a producer is a glorified event planner , but that also has to raise the funding . And ….. most of the glory goes to the director and actors. But that is what I like about it. Nobody recognizes you (not like the director and actors) and you can keep a pretty private life.
