We were lucky to catch up with Zoleanny Carmona recently and have shared our conversation below.
Zoleanny, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Many people look at our symbol for Disclosure and ask me what it means; without looking closely you might miss that it’s a crown with a sword behind it. The sword represents the duty to fight for the king while the crown represents our royal heritage. It means that we are the protectors of our castle. And we shall fight for the betterment of our kingdom.
Without our community supporting us we just might quit it all. But the possibilities are endless when a community continues to show up for each other and support in any way they can. At Disclosure, we understand that creating content to help a business grow and reach the intended customer market can be a hassle. With all the new changes in marketing, with the overflow of ideas, it can be a headache.
We aim to ease the workload; and take the pressures away to create attention-grabbing visuals. We strive to bring each client’s dreams into visuals for everyone to enjoy. Our clients have stories to share and we want to be in conversation to help bring those stories to life.
Zoleanny, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
As a youngster I loved being in front of the camera, always ready to pose for a picture; which led me to get a camera of my own. I then started filming random videos of myself, my family, and my friends. This led to my infamous YouTube page (or so I told myself) where my best friend and I would upload content as high schoolers do; parody skits, vlogs, etc. When I started editing those videos it gave me butterflies; turning random clips into a story, I loved that feeling. Those random teenage weekends turned into a passion, I vowed to use my storytelling skills to help others share their stories.
After getting a four-year degree where I made many connections and memories, one of my close friends, Nickolas Guess came to me, along with a friend of his with an idea. When we weren’t able to execute that idea due to the third party we asked ourselves what the two of us could pull together and that summer we filmed a short film, Virgo (out on YouTube). After Nick proposed that we start a production company together he said, “You’re the only person I trust this vision with.” Little did he know at the time that it was one of my goals, to have my own Production company, immediately said yes without a doubt, there Disclosure Productions was born.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
After my freshman year at Ball State University where I took a hiatus from working when school was in session. I decided to go back to Noodles & Company where I had worked as a front-of-house team member for the last two years of high school, Now was a college sophomore at a location near campus; during my first week there I had met this arrogant, mouthy man who took much of my patience to be around. Here comes the lesson on not judging a person before you fully understand and personally get to know them. Nick and I spent those next three years at that job and university getting to know each other and creating a strong working relationship. The funny fact is that although Nick and I studied the same major, our school schedules never collided.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
What has helped us build our reputation is staying true to our word with our clients. Our mission is to bring our clients’ dreams to life. When an artist comes to us with a vision for their music, we ask them questions such as how they felt creating the song and how they want their audience to feel when watching. We conversate with them and make sure everything is to realistic standards. We make sure that everything is in order and on top of schedule. We make sure our clients feel comfortable with placing their trust in us. And we let our work and dedication do the rest.
