We recently connected with Bridgette Whitting and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Bridgette thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
The mission behind Infinite Skin Aesthetics means the most to me because I didn’t always feel comfortable in my own skin. Covering my face with makeup to hide the unevenness, scars and not seeing the natural beauty that I possessed. Not feeling as pretty as the girls that you seen everyday on social media. I try to instill self confidence in the people that I speak to reminding them that they are beautiful no matter what their skin is going through at the moment. Because at the end of the day when we look at the future our skin will look the best it’s ever been. We want our self esteem and confidence to match. Our mission is to create a safe and nurturing space where our clients can feel comfortable in their own skin, ultimately boosting their self-esteem and allowing their true beauty to shine through.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Sure. I’m a creative person who loves to help others. I initially got into esthetics as a makeup artist in 2016. I went to school and loved doing makeup but I noticed that a lot of the people I worked with were covering up imperfections and didn’t know what to use to get rid of these. I ended up going back to school to learn more about how I could help others stop covering their imperfections and start teaching them what they need to correct them instead. Hopefully helping them to boost their confidence and learn something new in the process. In my business I help people who are struggling with acne and pigmentation issues find solutions that are tailored to them. I work with all ethnicities and skin types. I work to figure out how to heal your skin holistically so we look at the whole picture ensuring you know how to take care of your skin and also your body.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I’ve had to pivot a couple times in business because I’m active duty military and move around quite often. This has stopped me at times but also started me. It’s stopped me in areas that don’t have reciprocity and I wasn’t able to help people in the same capacity like facials. But I was able to do lashes and makeup. It’s started me into facials and helped me find the area that I’m great in because I’m able to focus and see changes in people.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
I was able to fund my business by myself. Using my salary funds, funds from business earnings, and funds from an existing business. Now I have business credit card that i use mostly to purchase the items that I need.
