Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Angelina Lucii. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Angelina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
I graduated from the class of 2020 which took place at the start of Covid, one of the biggest turning points in America. I had to spend the rest of my year in isolation, where I grew my passion for beginning music again. I always participated in charity events as well as nonprofit organizations since I was a little girl, I participated in musical theatre as well as attending a broadway camp in New York City in between summers in high school. I stepped into my first recording booth in 2021. Released my first EP in 2022. I now own a successful beauty business where I do lash/ brow services.

Angelina, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am 22 years old. I attended beauty school when I was 19, where i began my creative endeavor for expressing myself in my own identity. I am proud of always persevering throughout all the obstacles life throws at me. Starting my own beauty business coming out of beauty school made me realize my potential. Never giving up is key to achieving your dreams. Creating your own reality isn’t as far fetched as people may seem. Seeing myself grow in my business encouraged me to pursue my dreams even more.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Patience is a great lesson that I had to teach myself. Hence my latest single, “hindsight,” where I express to my younger self that things eventually work itself out in the future. Seeing things from a bird’s eye allows your higher self to guide you in your path.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
I believe society needs to embrace authenticity. Artists are all about self expression. Allowing yourself to see one’s true nature and not only ACCEPT but to SUPPORT them is the biggest reward any society member can offer an Artist.
