Hi David, thanks for joining us today. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
Having his membership revoked by the Christian Science Church because of jealousy, bigotry, and racism from members of the church and it’s members. An example given by him is when he paid for class instruction and was denied access to it by the instructor.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
David started in ballet, music, and acting classes as a child and found that he had a natural talent for them at a young age. He stands out from other people in his industry by being a determined and strong willed person of color and having a broad range of skills in his craft. He is proud of his work with Tim and Eric, and his journey as a multi’media creator, as well as his music that has been able to be spread to numerous denominations thanks to signing with CCLI and GIA publishing. He wants his fans to know that he puts a lot of effort into his work and wants to create good music and videos for his fans for them to enjoy.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Being recognized and appreciated by his fans, and the satisfaction of putting in a hard day’s work to reach new fans and create better art.
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Supporting college students and giving grant money to hopeful students, rewarding musicians and artists that have done work to help the community around them, and showing artists the respect that they have worked hard to achieve.
