We were lucky to catch up with Isaac Obasuyi recently and have shared our conversation below.

Isaac, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

I have a lot of love in my heart for life , my career and people because of my family . My parents did a good job bringing me up with love and care so people don’t experience that

I’m a musician and also into music business . I’m a music producer , studio sound engineer, songwriter, performing artist , A&R and sound designer. I love creating music in the best possible way and I’m constantly evolving each day because I love to experiment new sounds .I keep an open mind always while creating

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

I used to be a studio rat as they call it 😊for years with a very prolific music producer called Masterkraft based in Lagos Nigeria and those years really gave me a lot of experience working big names in Africa music industry and seeing how some things are done also being part of project at that time . Now that I’m running my own studio and music business those experiences are very useful in my daily activities so no knowledge is lost

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

I can never forget when i sold my car to market and promote my music . Most would think it was too extreme but I know my dreams are very big and I don’t expect myopic minded people to understand but it’s really simple to me do it with all your heart or don’t do it all
