Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Gabrielle Howell. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Gabrielle , thanks for joining us today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
This might sound cliché, but I genuinely believe there’s a right time and place for everything. I feel that I’ve embarked on my artistic journey at the perfect moment. If I had started any sooner, I don’t think I would have been able to develop the images that define my work today. The initial piece that sparked it all was a compilation drawn from various life experiences, reflecting the emotions I was experiencing at that moment.
Regarding my business, had I started any earlier, I honestly doubt I would have possessed the confidence or capacity to manage it, especially while balancing school and work. The knowledge and wisdom I acquired prior to starting my artistic journey have significantly influenced my current endeavors. I believe that starting when I did has equipped me with the resilience to navigate challenges.

Gabrielle , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I stumbled upon my love for drawing during my Community College years through casual doodling in notebooks. At the time I wasn’t sure if it was good enough to be seen by others. For fun, I considered myself a self-proclaimed artist… but only in secret. Over time, my art evolved into something abstract and beautiful, becoming a therapeutic outlet that brought me joy and a sense of peace.
While studying data analytics, I realized that I was missing something and started questioning my career path, but then I realized that all I needed was activities outside of work and school that bring me true happiness and joy. So…to add more fun to my life I transitioned from creating art for personal enjoyment to establishing an art business. My goal is to share my creations with others, hoping they can experience the same peace and joy that each piece brings me.
Looking ahead, my aspiration is not only to grow my business, but also to extend its presence to galleries, museums, and sharing it with a wider audience.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Honestly, the main driver in my creative journey is just my love of art and passion for what I do. The mission that drives me is to share my artwork with others and make a positive impact on their individual lives
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
One of the most rewarding aspects of being an artist is the freedom. I get to be 100% authentic, expressing myself through my art without anyone dictating what changes I should make or how I should approach it. In the realm of my art, I can fully embrace that others’ opinions don’t have to influence my craft; this is my art, and it is me.
On the other hand, beyond my personal connection, I derive immense joy from observing how people interpret my artwork. Whether it be through offering hope, eliciting smiles, or infusing positive energy into the room where it hangs, knowing that my art has the potential to bring positivity into someone’s life is truly rewarding.
