Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kenna Paige. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kenna, appreciate you joining us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
I’m happy to express myself and pursue things that I love and have dreamed about, but I don’t enjoy navigating the industry. I’ve been lucky to meet positive individuals in the industry, and I’ve had the unfortunate experience of meeting snakes in the industry. You’ll make connections that are only looking to gain from you, and that can be hard to navigate. Of course I’ve thought “would it be easier to just have a normal job?” but I don’t think it would. I think it would have its own challenges, and this industry is something I’m passionate about. I want to make a difference in the industry. I want to create a network of genuine individuals, and that’s what I’m starting to work towards.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Singing. Since I was young, I’ve always wanted to sing. It’s been my driving passion. This led me into modeling and acting because everyone says they all go hand in hand. Then you hear, “It’s who you know,” which prompted me to start networking. Now, I’ve become a jack of all trades. I create music I’m truly passionate about, constantly learning and unapologetically being myself.
I’m navigating this confusing minefield of an industry, learning to distinguish those in it for the right reasons from those who aren’t. Through experience, I’ve realized the importance of networking and have started organizing events innovating and integrating new ideas. I’m set to release new music this year that truly tells a story, realizing that it doesn’t matter who likes it; somewhere out there is someone who’s felt as lost as me. Someone out there just wanted to sing and got pulled in every direction, and my music might resonate with them, it might help them.
In this industry, people often act like they have it all figured out, but the truth is, no one really does. They’re just doing it, and so can I, and so can you.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success delves deeply into manifestation, emphasizing giving to give rather than to receive, among other principles. No matter where I am in life, revisiting this book always offers me a fresh perspective and encourages me to change my mindset. It reinforces the idea that I can achieve anything I set my mind to, and so can you. There’s no need for competition, and in this vast world, your tribe will find you. Out there, there’s a large group of people who need your art, your connection, and whom you can help.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Money. In LA, it can often seem like money is the only thing that matters. But art is not for money; art is for the soul. Some may look at me and think I’m rich, some may look at me and think I’m poor, but I am simply grateful. I have a roof over my head, food to eat, and the ability to sing, make music, act, and pursue my dreams. I take chances, I live. Sometimes, we forget to just live. If you’ve ever felt this way, just go outside, touch the grass. The universe has you, it’s part of a bigger plan, whatever you believe in. Just be grateful.
