Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jakari Jackson . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jakari , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
When I was a young boy I use to watch the popular TV show Martin he was a very funny talented character that i very much looked up to because of how well he changed his characters effortlessly and from that day forward I always knew that someday I would be an amazing strong performer one day doing exactly what I love to brighten my happiness and everyone else’s
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Jakari Jackson and my age is 24 years old. I am a hardworking individual and very independent with most things I do. I love music and I also love entertaining my beautiful craft to the world. I am a person who love challenges and also love learning new things no matter how hard it is. How I first started off in this type of inderstry was me taking a step of faith to move to Houston and enrolling myself into acting classes. I provided great services to indie play rights and film makers of Houston Texas. What that being said I have acted and worked behind the scenes. What sets me apart from the whole entire world is that I’m very fast paste when it comes to learning or memorizing things and no matter how hard an assignment is for me I am so dedicated to achieve my goal at all times. What I am most proud of within myself and my craft is how far I came and conquered my fears doing this type of work less then a year. I want the entire world to know that it’s more then just getting paid for doing what I do because I don’t do it for the money I do it because I love and cherish the profession and platform I am patiently creating for myself.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding thing would be me getting feed back from my peers such as my mentor coach miss charnel brown and my uncle Tre Tureaud who has lead me into the right directions so far in my journey also Miss Beverly Brock with the Brock agency has changed my life in the best way possible
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My first presentation for acting was so difficult because I was extremely nervous but I knew for a fact I had my lines of ever scene memorized in full effect. When I got up there in front of everyone I felt so stowic to the point my words couldn’t come out and be expressed but when my acting coach miss charnel brown looked me in my eyes and told me to relax breath and to remember who you are as the character your playing from that moment I was in my element and I aced my performance.
