Nevaeh, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

In order to be successful, you must have passion for whatever you’re doing. Enjoying your work plays a big role in your success because it motivates you to keep going. Patience is a must in order to be successful. Success doesn’t happen overnight, so it’s important to create healthy habits and stay disciplined throughout your journey. Setting goals & being open to learn new things helps you grow and it motivates you to keep going.

Nevaeh, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Hi, my name is Nevaeh. I’m currently a senior in high school planning to major in business when I graduate in June. Seeing my dad and brother run their own business was so inspiring, so on a random Monday in 2020 I decided I wanted to start my own business. Whenever I wanted to try new things, my dad was so supportive, so he helped fund my business. Growing up I always loved jewelry, so I decided to open up my own jewelry shop. I started off with lipgloss keychains and silver charmed bangles. 3 years later, I decided to add more. I now sell beaded bracelets, charm bracelets, bangles, necklaces and croc charms. I know sometime it’s hard to find jewelry that stands out, and also affordable which is why I provide my customers with unique accessories that complement their everyday looks. I take pride in making my customers feel special when receiving my products, which is a reason I feel like my brand stands out. Unlike many big brands, I build bonds with my customers and potential customers, to show how appreciative I am for their support. As of right now, I am most proud of how consistent I have been. I struggled with ghosting my followers when my business wasn’t functioning the way I wanted to. I learned to set goals, be patient and stay consistent. I want everyone to know that I truly love what I do and when you support me, you’re supporting my 14yr old dream.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

TikTok has played a big role in my growth. I have reached so many customers on the TikTok platform.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

My dad has always been supportive when it came to things like this, so when it came to me starting my business he helped me fund it.
