We were lucky to catch up with Brittany Armstrong recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brittany thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
True success in life is making decisions that bring you happiness. I found, being a business owner, I was able to to create my own happiness on a daily basis. Some people find happiness in money, power, or fame, but I find it in helping others and offering something beneficial to my community.

Brittany, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
The tattoo industry has been a certain way for a long time, and I wanted to change that.
Those seeking a softer place to land – I’m here for you – here’s how:
Private Luxury Studio –
Providing a highly elevated experience in a comfy / cozy environment. I only work with ONE client per day so we have time to do whatever is necessary to complete your dream tattoo.
Client Advocacy –
Collaboration is sought after at Ink Society by Happymindesign. Clients should feel listened to throughout the entire process. This is your art too, so I always encourage clients to follow their intuition let me know their thoughts on designs , placement , music choice , etc.
Body Led Awareness –
Most of the time, clients have an idea of a certain placement and design. Trust this inner pull. But just know, I’m always here to guide you when needed. It can be difficult knowing for certain if the stencil is perfect, and I’ll be the first one to wipe it off even if the client ok’s it – because I know it can be better. I don’t ever choose the placement, your body chooses it. When the stencil is in the right place, the body tells us. When the stencil is placed intentionally – you’ll be surprised by how well it compliments your body. You will find a new love for the skin you’re in.
Trauma and Nervous System Awareness –
Tattoos are painful. When you receive a tattoo, it can bring up hidden memories and emotions stored in the body that we may have forgotten. Being an intentional tattooer , I know how to tune in and know how to hold space for individuals to let those feelings flow. You’re treated like a human here, with real human responses. When things get painful, I always have snacks and numbing solution available to help make the tattoo less painful.
Tattoos are the Soul’s outward expression on the body and should be an intimate and sacred experience.
Once it’s there…it is now a part of every version of you, infinitely.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Being a tattoo artist, it is your job to find your own clients and canvas’. When I first started, I ran ads on Instagram and Tiktok to gain a following. The thing about utilizing social media, is you need to create quality content. A lot of companies get it wrong by selling their product, but what I sell is the experience. Social media posting is utilized to help my clients get to know me as an artist. You will be more successful on social media if you show up more often, instead of just posting your products or services.
