We were lucky to catch up with Kaitlyn Duffey recently and have shared our conversation below.

Kaitlyn, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard

All CBD is not created equal. There are two very important things to check for when purchasing CBD. It is so incredibly important that the source of your CBD is trusted and ethical. While growing, hemp plants can be treated and sprayed too late in their growth process causing harm to the finished plant. Kaitlyn, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Nourish CBD is something that has been in the works for a very long time for me. When I was young, I used to mix potions and elixirs in my parents back yard all the time. I would pick flowers from my moms garden and combine them with pine needles, leaves grass, dirt….you name it! This was what led me into wanting to know more about plants. I was always enamored the plants my mom tended to and knew that I wanted to work with them from a young age. Herbalism has always been a huge part of who I am. I am also a massage therapist and have been practicing for 8 years. I saw first hand through my massage work how beneficial using herbs and oils during massage can be. I was introduced to CBD through my husbands work and many therapists I knew were also using it in their sessions. I decided to use CBD too, and to use it along with my herbs and oils that I was already incorporating into massage. The result was astounding. I felt I had stumbled across something very special. From here Nourish CBD was born. My CBD products are heavily influenced by the necessity of self care, and quality ingredients. Nourish CBD has created lucious, therapeutic, healing and revitalizing body products that bring a completely new meaning to holistic healing. I make a variety of bath bombs, topical salves, lip balms, tinctures, and bath teas. Each product is created in small batches with intention to bring you the most individualized self care and healing experience. What truly sets Nourish CBD apart from everything else is that I have created this. I am unique in the fact that I am me, and no one else can fill those shoes. I have formed this idea and this company into something that no one but me (because I am uniquely me) could have done. It is one of my greatest accomplishments and I could not be more excited to share it with you!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

My products speak for themselves. So many people live in some sort of chronic pain, and are searching for relief. When you find a product that helps manage your pain but also provides so many other benefits to your body it can be life changing. People have found consistency and relief through Nourish CBD. Talking to people and educating them about CBD and how it interacts with our bodies is also something that is very important. People want to understand how and why this specific product is going to help them. When they work with someone who is going to provide them with a product that works, educate them on how to use it and why it works the way it does, and also provide back up support at any time after purchase it makes a huge difference, Nourish CBD’s goal is to enhance every life it touches, and we do that through our products. Every product is made with patience, expertise, and love.

Have you ever had to pivot?

2020 was a wild ride for all of us. At this time my primary income was from massage. I was working at a spa in Denver along with building my personal clientele. I was building Nourish on the side of massage, hoping for it to someday become my main career. I got my wish in a very odd way as March 2020 arrived and our entire world was shut down due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. I was not able to massage at that time. This is when I decided to put all of my energy into Nourish CBD and really start building the business of my dreams. So many people were seeking the comfort of self care during this time, and Nourish just happened to have the answers. My CBD bath bombs were a relief to all who used them during this stressful time, and the topical salves brought relief to sore muscles and bodies. The tinctures were helping bring balance for some, sleep for others, stress relief for the rest. I was amazed that I was suddenly supporting my family with a dream that I was pursuing and it was becoming reality right before my eyes. This pivot was really great, but it was incredi

bly unexpected and challenged me in many ways. Owning a small business and a small practice while navigating a brand new marriage and a pandemic was a lot! It was a difficult time but I learned so much through it all. Nourish CBD was a beacon of hope for me during these troubled times and continues to be so today.
