We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Bianca Rios a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Bianca, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
I’m super happy to be a professional makeup artist . It is honestly something that keeps me going . I love being able to show my creativity and talent . This is the one and only job I love , and I don’t see myself having another job.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Bianca Rios. On instagram I go by Nico___mua . I’m a certified makeup artist . And I provide makeup services for any special occasion. I also have one on one makeup classes available online or in surrounding areas in Orange County CA. I’m honestly super proud in what I do. Being a makeup artist and being able to show muy talent is an amazing feeling . I love being able to Glamify my clients or teach others my techniques.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a makeup artist was having my own makeup palette. Glitz & Glam is my palette that I worked very hard on and it was an accomplishment for me .
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building your social media presence is important. It can be tricky at times but little by little you’ll get there . I remember having a little bit of followers and no one viewing my content . It did make me feel unmotivated . But with hard work, dedication and time I’m gaining more followers and recognition. It is all worth it at the end.
