We recently connected with Heloíne Moreno and have shared our conversation below.

Heloíne, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been one of the most interesting investments you’ve made – and did you win or lose? (Note, these responses are only intended as entertainment and shouldn’t be construed as investment advice)

My best investment was learning different languages. When I was 10 years old and I saw that an English school opened in my hometown in Brazil. My first reaction was to ask my mom to take me there because I wanted to learn English and come live in the US one day. After that I also took Spanish classes and kept studying on my own. My next goal is to learn French, which I’ve been on and off studying. Languages open doors for meeting new people, learning new culture and being able to understand others in a better way.

Heloíne, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am Heloíne Moreno and I am a Brazilian model. I was born in a small town called Brotas in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. I grew up in a poor family and was the first to get a college degree. I studied Translation ( Eng/Port)
I worked since I was 14 years old and had jobs as English teacher, telemarketing agent, salesperson, hotel receptionist and even gogo dancer.
By the age of 17 I moved to a bigger city and I had to work in 2 jobs at the same so I could afford my bachelors degree and rent.
I used to walk 50 min to go to work – back and forward – and studied during the evenings. But with lot of effort I graduated. Then I stayed in Brazil another year working in 3 jobs at the same time, saving money so I could pay for an exchange program in the US.
In my last year in Brazil I started modeling and by the age of 22 I moved to the US.
After only 2 months in the new country I lost my job and place where I was living. I saw myself desperate with nothing and heard people saying I should give up and go back home, but what do you think I did?
No I didn’t give up. I moved to a strangers house and lived in really in bad conditions for about 5 months.
My childhood dream was to be a model so I started studying the industry by searching on the internet and watching modeling TV shows.
I started modeling and working
in events during the weekends while I was also working during the day in a restaurant then in a hotel.
After a year living in Richmond VA, I moved to NY. I received lot of rejection and finally got signed with an agency. I walked in different fashion week shows in NY, Atlantic City, RVA, Miami, Washington DC and more.
I competed and won different Beauty pageant competitions such as Miss Brazil USA representing Brazilian girls in state of Virginia.
I got published in different pages and covers of magazines.
In 2019 I moved to Miami where I got featured in music videos
and became Playboy Playmate of the month.
4 years ago I became and Influencer and content creator and now with my experience I am a Model and content creator mentor.
The mentoring starts with 1 hour online conversation where you going to tell me your career goals to become a model, or an influencer or if you need help on how to start selling your content pics and videos online.
I will answer questions about the modeling and content creation industry and give you advices based on your location, level of experience and goals that you’d like to accomplish.
You’ll receive a to do list homework with different websites, apps and actions you can take in order to make your dream career become true. The mentoring session is personalized based on each individual. The mentoring is for guys and girls who would like to become a model or content creator.
It’s for those who wants to learn more about online opportunities related to modeling, product influencer, and different ways and places to sell your content online.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My next goal as a model mentor is to create an online course to sell. At the moment I only offer 1:1 video calls online. But I would like to have a full course with all the details about modeling and content creation.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

The book : The Alchemist definitely helped me to see the world with positive eyes. Have faith in your own dreams, when people are criticizing and judging you. You should leave all that behind and focus on your journey, in what you believe and mainly on what makes you happy.
