We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Michael Ganser. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Michael below.
Alright, Michael thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I started pursuing art in middle school onward. I loved drawing comics/Human anatomy and it just took off from there. Like most artists, I’m always learning. I spend most of my free time building my portfolio and perfecting my craft specifically through pointlism (drawings made up of many dots). While I strive for realism in form, I’ve also dabbled with contemporary and illustrative works to keep my skills honed in while allowing myself to not feel tailored to exclusively one subject.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
While I have done many services in arts and entertainment (caricatures, stilt walking, juggling, Costume characters, ect), my drawing practice is what I try to maintain. Being pulled in multiple directions with no consistent schedule, I still try to draw something when I can. If nothing else, seeing through my work from thumbnail to execution. To take the time it needs to make my best works.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I have little experience with them, but have heard horrible outcomes. All in all, it’s simply a scam.
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
If I would change one thing in my artistic journey, it would be to build my network better.
