Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Samantha Langworthy. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Samantha, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with education – we’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career
What I would change about the educational system is how we would prepare for our children’s future.
Instead of taking mandatory classes that may not take effect in their future careers or lives, introduce classes that teach the basics of survival, basics of finances, homemaking, agriculture, hunting, etc that could help one thrive.
These are topics that should be made mandatory versus the classes I see in the educational system today.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Samantha and I am 33 years old. I live in Tampa, FL with my daughter and my significant other. My daughter and I are originally from New York State. I love music especially modern Synthwave and Broadway musicals. I love anything that relates to Raccoons as they are my favorite animal!
Jane•Moe Designs, formerly Jane Of Art, was created in June of 2021 on the mission of creating custom paintings and selling them as a little side gig to earn some extra cash. After a year, Jane of Art was on hiatus until it’s name change and return in January of 2023.
New products were introduced thanks to the Cricut Explore 3 that was received that previous Christmas. Products that were introduced were as follows: vinyl decals, custom stickers, business cards, thank you cards, custom clothing, custom cutting boards, and recently introduced, scented candles and tumblers.
I think what sets me apart from others is I don’t view this business venture as a competition to anyone else who may be trying to get their footing into this industry. I think one of the best things to do is work together as a community and build each other up to be better each and everyday. It’s hard in this industry so instead of dividing, we should unite to succeed.
The thing I’m proud of the most about starting a business and becoming a small business owner is how much support there really is out there. I’m so thankful for how far we have come, especially through our business page. We may be small but one day we will be a lot bigger and it’s all thanks to the followers, the promoters, the likes and the love. Another thing I’m proud of is the friendships of fellow business owners that I have befriended. The little community that we have is incredibly strong and I’m grateful for them all.
I want all of my supporters and future clients to know that each and every product is made with true love and care because it is important to give to you what your vision entails. Honesty and communication will always be a priority because your order matters. I will always try my best and give full potential in my work. That is my mission.

How did you build your audience on social media?
It all started with an idea and a Facebook page.
I figured if I was going to try and sell paintings, Facebook could assist in that, at least I was hoping. It started with searching and joining local Facebook groups that allowed marketing and promoting. From there, I just started promoting products I knew I could do and people began to get interested and orders started coming through. I continued to engage in my business page quite a bit and helped other businesses boost as well as promoting them. Engagement posts, interactive posts can help get your business out there and fast but you do have to keep up to remain in good standings. Marketing and promoting can be a long job if you’re consistent.
My advice is you want to do your best to draw others into your products but keeping it classy as you do so.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy will always be “word of mouth” whether it it’s in person or via text with those close to you. The majority of my orders have been close friends who’ve gotten others to make orders as well. It’s like a ripple effect.
