Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Noel Daniels. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Noel, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
As a kid, I took dance lessons; ballet and tap dance. I have always had a passion for dance and entertaining. In high school, I was a band dancer. We performed at all of the basketball and football games, parades around town and many other functions. After high school, I became an adult entertainer. In my early 20’s, I purchased a dance fitness franchise. Throughout the years, I have taken many fitness trainings and received several fitness certifications. My cousin and I were talking Christmas of 2009 about me branching out on my own again and creating my own fitness program, It took us less than an hour to come up with the name, BodyTalk Fit, At the time, I was a branch manager of a Credit Union. The Monday after the holidays when I returned back to work, I put my two weeks notice in. I was nervous and excited at the same time. I just purchased my first home the same month i resigned from my full time career in the banking industry. I combined the fitness aspect of my background along with the sensual side and introduced BodyTalk Fit in 2010.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
We offer a unique approach to fitness. A sensual and flirty dance program with results! We as women, can be so hard on ourselves. We help build self confidence, tap into sensuality, embrace femininity, build muscle, burn calories, increase flexibility and have while doing it. We currently offer flexibility and strenght training classes, zumba, burlesque and chair dance weekly grooup classes. We also offer private 101 pole sessions and private dance parties for any occasion.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn throughout the years as an entrepeneuer is not to expect your family and friends to be your supporters. Learn to appreciate the ones who support you. Most of those people will be strangers.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Most definitely, being authentic. My business has been mostly word of mouth, Build a rapport with your clients, be your own YOU, lead by example, be encouraging, be results driven, be open to suggestions, create an ‘experience’ and they will come!
