We were lucky to catch up with Andrew Gray recently and have shared our conversation below.
Andrew, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry.
As the great English playwright William Shakespeare once said: “To podcast or not to podcast. That is the question.” Maybe not exactly but the sense of this is true.
Anywhere you look (or listen) today you will see an organization, a brand, or an individual releasing a podcast. And it all reminds me of the early days of the web. If you were in business and did not have a website you were behind the trend and in danger of losing out to those who did.
Podcasting is the new website. It is a magical way of getting you and your brand noticed. It has a global reach. Podcasts can be accessed by anyone around the world via Spotify, Apple and YouTube to name but three platforms. It allows you to be more personal with your existing customers and importantly reach a new audience and potential clients who otherwise would never have discovered you.
Compared to many other forms of marketing, podcasts can be relatively inexpensive to produce. It does not require a large team (at its simplest just YOU) or a significant investment in equipment (a cell phone) and can offer a high return on investment (new sales).
Overall, a podcast can be a versatile tool for companies looking to enhance their marketing strategy, connect with their audience, and grow their brand.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
As the world stood on the brink of the Internet revolution in 1995, I was at the forefront, pioneering web development and harnessing the potential of the emerging digital realm. Recognizing the transformative power of the internet, in 2000, I focused on website design and development, mastering the intricate art of creating digital platforms that captivate and engage.
But my vision went beyond just web design. As the digital age ushered in new mediums of communication, I immersed myself in the world of audio, video and the new revolution of podcasting.
You’ve worked hard to record your podcast, pouring in your passion, knowledge, and time. It deserves to shine in its best light. That’s where I come in!
Podcast editing can be a multi-faceted process, and many different techniques can be employed to ensure a polished final product. This is how I can help you.
Crystal Clear Audio: Remove awkward silences, ums, ahs, and those unexpected coughs. I refine your audio to be crisp, clear, and professional.
Engaging Listening Experience: Understand the rhythm of a great conversation I enhance the flow, ensuring your listeners stay hooked from start to finish.
Save Time and Effort: Focus on what you love – creating content! Leave the intricate task of editing to a dedicated professional.
Consistent Quality: Each episode will maintain the signature sound quality your listeners have come to love and expect.
Feedback & Collaboration: It’s not just about editing. I listen, suggest, and collaborate to bring out the best in your content.
At its simplest, delivering a Podcast is a 3-step process:
#1 You record the podcast.
#2 You send me the audio recording.
#3 I edit, produce, audio master and upload the file for distribution.
If you have ever thought: “I need a podcast but I don’t know what to do.” I am here to do the heavy lifting and let you do what you do best.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Today there are many videos and books (and podcasts) you can listen to, read, and watch if you wish to learn any topic you can imagine. But if that is not your core skill then you will spend a lot of your valuable energy trying to become an expert in something that will take time out of your main area of focus in your business.
During my life journey, both personally and professionally, I quickly learned not to become trapped in the world of DIY (Do It Yourself).
You have a skillset and that’s your priority. If you have interests elsewhere that you feel would benefit your business and you’re stopped because you do not have the knowledge to make it happen find someone who can do it for you. Don’t feel that you, and only you, are the only one who can make it become a reality.
The people who have the skill in something you do not are your #1 resource to allow you to maximize your time to do what you do best and grow your company.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Collaboration is at the heart of everything I do. There’s a satisfaction that comes from the glowing reviews and positive feedback of my clients, who are often thrilled with the high-quality work we have crafted together.
My focus is on producing exceptional audio and video content, meticulously tailored to not just meet but exceed expectations.
This approach is designed to offer a memorable and impactful experience for everyone involved – both the clients who commission the work and the audience who engages with it.
My goal is to ensure that each project stands out, leaving a lasting impression on both the listener and the viewer.
